@grpace YEAH you should i like this kind of modding i mean in not into crazy modding. I love the discrete modding getting the cathodes in the right spot and making look very professional. If i have any criticism is that you cut some of the psu wires other than that good work mate.
@grpace yea i think i will go with the p6dx58. microcenter has it and im probably going to be building my core i7 pc on black friday since microcenter has a yearly sale. thanks for your advice.
Very nice case man. did you make any other hole besides the one on the top left? i am trying to find clean way to pass all the drive cables to the back panel.and did you have to dismantle the case to paint it?
yea I hev 2 5850's at the moment and they are the same size as a 5870 (length wise). However, I'm running a full tower thermaltake armor+ case, painted lack like your case, with a 2-radiator liquid cooled rig, and my i7 925 is overclocked to 4.2GHZ
I had a bent pin in my P6T also. I just took a small flat head screw driver and using a magnifying glass bent it back. Love the setup by the way! Just for the hell of it, here are my specs:
Yeah it was weird because 6gb was reconsized in cpu-z but only 4 was in bios and vista... (64) so i decided to rma and just get a new one. the advanced rma is where they send u a board and you just ship the old one in the box. was really easy.
Hey.. coincidence. My computer just crashed, so I restarted and went into the BIOS and checked. According to my system I have 8 GB of RAM. :S ... I have 12. This is extremely weird especially since this is what we were just talking about.
Thermaltake Armor+ Case - mods: Entire case interior painted matte black, automatic-on (via reed switch) green LED lights in top tool bay, cable management with UV blue spiral wrap kit
Hey, I have the Armor+MX case and I get such bad temps. I have the corsair H50, one 120mm rear exhaust fan and a front 120mm intake fan. Do you know any way I can get better temps? I'm too poor for watercooling.
what, is 4.2ghz too low for you, and plus, I'm not that pro to at overclocking and sometimes (1 in every 100hrs of gaming) it will crash games. but i built my system with performance in mind, cooling performance as second priority and visuals as third. When you mix these together and take them all into consideration , you end up with a great PC. Be sure to check out my vid of my PC
Amazing job! :) I'm looking to get the tempest as well, although I'll probably stick with the blue LED's, lol. I have a question, did you have to do any hard modding (IE: Dremeling) for the cable management?
Yes, I cut out the fan grills in the front and I cut a 8pin cable management hole at the top. Other than that tempest has good stock holes. I could have used another by the optical drive and hdd but whatever I worked around it.
NICE MOD GOOD WORK MATE... fucken love it great work!

@Georgefromaccounting I love it, they have more recent version called the p6dx58. I would take a look at that if you can afford it.

Nice build man... I have the Tempest aswell, and am wanting to paint the inside black. Did you have to take the case apart to spray it?
bashbanger 1 year ago
@bashbanger Yes. Check out my guide on spraying your case. Just google "How to Spray Paint Interior of Case" its the 2nd one.

@shadowtroop110 You dont have to dismantle the case completely but I did because it helps get all the hard to reach areas.
Yeah in this video just one hole.

Very nice work. Is it possible to replace the top 140mm fans without modding or cutting anything?
jeesan485 2 years ago
Yeah just remove six screws on the top of the case from the inside and then two on the front pannel. and you get full acess to the top 140mm's

What i did is hide the 8 pin behind the front panel cords, and snaked it up along the top and into the plug, no drilling required.
