They did this because...they had auditions for a person name tori Alex Steele(angie) decided to audition and she was PERFECT! so they all decided to cast her as tori and since people are ageing and not watching the newer versions of degrassi they couldn't/wouldn't bring back old actors because not a lot of people know those actors/now know the newer actors

Dislike! It's cool that she will be on the show and whatever but she should play Angela! Weird, I was just thinking that Angie would be about high school age and that it would be neat if they got her (and Joey!) on the show again. Now that won't be able to happen if she is playing this new character. :(
