  • @snoweyphantom :-) Thanks for your nice comment :-) Take care

  • Willy, How are you brother? I'm mangling a 96 American Lonestar at present.

I've gone through 2 Hot Rod Devilles so far, (black series III, and the new limited edition Red October w/the Red Coat Wizard speakers). Both were 4/10's. They were decent sounding (as you have demonstrated), but

brother, you ain't seen nothing yet! If you get the chance, plug into Fender's

new 65 Twin Reverb Custom 15! (has the single 15" speaker). You'll be hooked for LIFE!

  • @Echoplex1 Coolness, I have read about that model, I will have to try it out sometime. Thanks friend :-)

  • Hey nice playing! I gosta know what your setting are on that deville? Nice tone!

  • @TheStoneImage Haha..thanks friend, I do not remember, sorry. Take care

  • Hi Willy, I was considering a Fender Eric Johnson rosewood stratocaster and am wondering about your opinion of it compared to your G&L. When you said you had it made for you, did you have modifications done? Not many places around here carry the G&L line. Do you highly recommend the Legacy HB for blues and rock? Also, what pick ups are you using currently in your G&L?

  • @1FenderGibson It really is a matter of preference. Both are good guitars.I did have mine made for me, it took about 3 months for me to get it.But it is basically a good Ol Strat..haha. The neck on the G&L feels smaller to me than Fenders necks, more nicely rounded, I like small necks though. I use Fender Noiseless Pickup in neck,Dimarzio Area 58 in middle, Seymore Duncan HB in bridge as of current. Thanks friend, and good luck with your guitar choices :-)

  • oh yeah baby that's the stuff Willybooger. Glad that Jesus our Lord is glorified

  • @rjinterr Thanks Friend :-)

  • Well, well well, what I stumbled upon here? Booger, you really know how to get low down and nasty. Damn nice show, buddy.

  • @FatBird11 haha, Thanks Man :-) Take care

  • 're using pedals?

  • @mauricioap3333 I was not using pedals. straight into the amp

  • do you use a pedal?

  • wow..i got the same guitar

  • @trebman91 Coolness! I like this guitar. I had it made for me! Took 3 months to get it...haha

  • So Big... D... Congratulations! Is really "Chingón"!

  • @hotchsatriani Much Thanks friend! I try :-)

  • @hotchsatriani a huevo

  • @rodri55555 ????? Egg?????

  • You are amazing and need to be known by everyone! This is truly just a stock G&L (what model) straight into the Hot Rod Deville 4 10? No FX or anything else? No doubt, most of it must all be in your fingers and soul!

  • @1FenderGibson G&L Legacy HB plugged straight into HRDeville 4x10, mic'd out, recorded in computer. Thank you so much for your support :-)

  • That was just nasty!!! I love you brother!!!

  • @rockabillybum Much thanks friend !!!

  • There is one deaf person that came. Can't believe there would be someone that don't like this blows me away.Great music as always.

  • @TheDevillll Thanks for your support friend. I try :o)

  • awesomeeeeeee. you got some nasty licks dude!!!! i love it.. check out my videos and leave comment... keep tearin it up my man

  • Some people establish a talent and build it up to a point where it peaks and they plateau, some select few are born with a God given ability that is groomed into limitless possibilities, you my friend appear to be among those select few!! Keep layin down the lycs and workin what God gave you, its not the fingers but rather the soul playing that guitar and brotha.... you got soul!!

  • @chevyduty68 You are very nice to say these things. Thank you so very much!

  • Awesome!! i just got a devile and love it!!! great playing man!!

  • @rwbrdms1 Cool! They are very good amps. I have used them for stage, studio and practice, as well experimental. Thanks friend :-)

  • Deville is my favorite amp, can play any gig on it. loud as hell

  • Two words: Aw-some.

  • @OIIIlllIIIO Thank you friend :-)

  • Amazing!! One thing: Is available this backing track on internet? Thanks.

  • Thanks! I found it on guitar center's website a ways back. On my website there is a link for free backing blues tracks also. Go to my channel to find the link. :-)

  • I love your playing sounds sounds awesome. I have a deville i was curious to how you had your E.Q set

  • Thanks friend :-) I am sorry but I do not remember the eq. I had the gain all the way. The volume was not loud, just room volume level :0)

  • Wow, amazing, emotion filled playing! Loved listening to this!

  • Thank you friend, very nice of you :0)

  • cool

  • nice~~

  • damn good playin!

  • Thank you friend! :-}

  • Thanks Friend, but I always recommend trying it out.

  • excelent tone !!!! great tecnique....congrats !!!

  • Thank you friend, I have fun making these videos

  • Dude! Fantastic playing!! Great tone on that Deville

  • Thank you friend! I try :-)

  • wow great!!!

  • @czesio12323 Thanks!

  • Awwww yeah!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey man amazing playing! I'm thinking about buying either a hot rod deville 212 or a blues deluxe and i was just wondering if you could give me your opinion on the two, it would be greatly appreciated . Thanks!

  • If you use pedals for heavier stuff and you need the extra power the 2x12 Deville may be suitable. If like the natural sound of the amp(no pedals) and need the extra volume the 4x10 Deville sounds great. Deluxe 1x12, is a little lighter/smaller (portable) but the sound is very good and is still very loud, it takes pedals well. The sound of all of these amps are ballpark similar. But the best thing to do is try them all out to see what you like best.Deluxe is my best fit. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your reply. I've watched all your videos now. Pro standard fretboard work and played with great feeling and commitment. If your not a professional, you should be ! I've been playing 45 years on and off so I know a good player when I see one. At present I'm using a Clapton Strat with the vintage noiseless pickups. Getting some rally great sounds via a BlackStar Series One 100 watt head and Marshall 4X10 cab. Only using reverb and dealy on the FX side. Take care old mate, Pete (UK)

  • I Very much appreciate your compliments, especially from such an experienced player. Sounds like you have a good set up of gear!

  • Very, very impressive old mate. Pete (U.K.)

  • Thanks! Mate!

  • that was some serious nasty work you just laid down! well done!

  • @blsdisciple Thanks, I appreciate that!

  • I liked the sound you squeezed out of that G & L. Your amp has an SRV quality to it that always reminds me of the "Texas Blues" sound that so many good players strive to duplicate. Well done! Hope to see you playing somewhere other than You Tube .

  • Thanks friend for your insite. For bluesy stuff I do love my G&L.

  • I like very much your sound and all your blues too )

  • Thanks again Friend!

  • Your blues are very creative ))

  • Very nice for you to say so, Thanks Friend!

  • If you aren't already, you deserve to be pro. Really good playing!!

  • Thanks Brother! Maybe someday!

  • Dude, very, very, very nice playing! I own a Hotrod Deville too, but I can't get it to sound that good.. What's your secret? Or which pickups do you use?

  • Thanks Friend! In this video I used stock G&L pickups. I took them out now.

  • Nothing like some juiced up blues to get your blood flowing. I'd love to hear some more stuff like this willybooger. keep up the great work!!!

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • great version for blues

  • Grate vid you have real talent.I realy love blues and im thinking of buying this amp but i some times play some hard rock so do you think is a good idea to buy a MXR Dist+ to have enough distortion for this?

  • Me personally,For the Blues I do not like to put ANYTHING between the guitar and the amp.If you really prefer the blues but at times want to jam to rock or metal I would buy what I feel is the best blues amp for yourself and for hard rock times use any peadal you want or own more than one amp.

  • Great Willy, I love it all, how about playing some Skynyrd!!!!

    Will

  • @usasdiv Thanks Man! Maybe next time!

  • sweet mother of jesus this was mind melting! Fucking good show mate!!! I'm subbin!

  • @Jaydaddyfresh Thanks!

  • I like the sound, but I wish you'd have hit the bridge p.u. too. What was your amp distortion set at?? Nice playin' btw-

  • Amp set at drive channel, not more drive channel. Thanks!

  • @willyboogerblues I'm contemplating buying a Hot Rod DeVille, hence the questions. 2 more; did you use a power attenuator here, and also, a 2X12 or a 4X10 configuration? Nice jams! Thanks again--

  • No attenuator here, I have the 4x10. I have played on both and I think for what I play which is mainly blues, the 4x10 is way more suitable. The 2x12 feels like a tighter response and seemed to take away some of the warmth I like. If I were buying this to play hard rock and metal mainly, I would get the 2x12. For Blues, For sure The 4x10. Thanks!

  • wat r ur setings? r u using the more drive channel?

  • I do not remember all the settings. I used the regular drive. In the v2 position I liked the Jan Philips 5751 to tame the distortion making it tighter. G&L neck PU. Straight into the amp. Thanks!

  • outstanding guy I am now your fan

  • sweet willy - what was your setup going into the amp - I have one and really like it with vintage tubes 5157s and a Mesa V-Twin in front of the clean channel

  • I was plugged straight into the amp. JanPhillips 5751 in the V2 position to smooth out the saturation and tightin it up. Thanks!

  • @willyboogerblues I just got some JAN 6V6s and wow do they work well in the deville. The clean channel can really spank now I have RCA black plate 5751s in both V1 and V2, I will use a 12ax7 in V1 if I need more volume. Volume level is much more usable for smaller venues. Both drive and more drive really sing too.

  • @bebop4u Awesome! I have heard 6v6's work great in that amp, just set the Bias for sure. I have used yellow jacket adapters to use el84s and it worked Great! I recorded at a big studio with that on the clean channel wide opened with an attenuator and it recorded great! Thanks for commenting!

  • Man oh man your a fine player indeed 10/10 my friend

    Peace...jake
