CTV interview with Doug Vermeeren about the Opus Movie

Jared did an excellent job in The Opus. Perhaps he is going to be like Johnny Depp who is brilliant on film but always uncomfortable in interviews. it's very different to be in an interview setting than it is to be on a movie set. On a set you get to know people and loosen up. In an interview often you don't even meet the interviewer before hand. That must be tough for anybody, let alone a kid. I think his performance in the movie was award winning.

Ya he does look a little nervous. But wouldn't you be as a kid.

What a neat dad to give his son a chance to be on TV with this new project. I think that's pretty cool.

That kid in the interview is Doug's son Jared who was featured in The Opus. He is the little boy on the boat. I saw this interview and it was really cool. Only half of it is here. They asked his son how achievement is taught at home and he gave soem really great thoughts about putting your mind to it and going after your goal. It's really pretty good. He looks a bit nervous to be on TV though.
