Thanks guys, I am glad to have seen this review, ordered myself a G27 last night (impulse purchase) and you guys have made me feel much better about it.
I would like to ask, though, if the wheel will work with 90% of racing games, I see loads of people raving about iRacing and I may have to start getting involved when my wheel comes, but does it work, even if logitech haven't actually configured the wheel for the game.
Since when do the G27 Pedals have Optical sensor's Darin, Unless there were 2 different versions the ones I have a certainly 10K Pots, I'd go have another look.
Even though they are still in warranty I remove the top cover every 2 months or so to get all the real fine dust etc out this will extend the life greatly and can attest to the fact they are Pots.

@49nerflapjacks with the XCM converter yes, however there`s no point even using this on the 360 because with the converter (witch is actually the only way to do it) because it simulates the thumbsticks moving witch means it has a lot of deadzone and i mean a LOT seriously check out the review by these guys and you`ll see what i mean

There is a problem with my Logitech g27, When approaching a corner I feel the wheel is self-steering slightly, subtly aiming me towards the apex. How can I fix this problem, I'm playing Gran Turismo 5 for my PS3. Any help would be appreciated.
This vid is the first i saw of simracing (years ago). i was looking for a good wheel. been hooked on simracing ever since. Glad i upgraded my DFP (still a grate wheel) for the g27. the g27 is still one of the best and can hold its own against todays competition.
Yeah the fanatec wheels are better, there's a reason the pedals are 199$ seperate from the 249$ wheel though....this is probably the best bang for your buck if you don't want to get crazy and spend some real cash for better equipment.
It is curious seeing people braking with left foot. As I have been driving manually shifting cars I am used to break with the right foot, while the left is only for the clutch. Seems like at least in the US, people are used to accelerate with the right and to brake with left foot :)
@cero815 Not really its because with a sim you dont have to use the clutch and can down shift without using the clutch. Racing drivers do it frequently as they have built in equipment to mimic the clutch.
But for everyday driving theres no need to flat shift thats why people brake and accelerate with there right foot and clutch with the left.
Its different but when racing at top speed its better.

If you needed one of these to play racing games... people who could drive would end up winning more... instead of the annoying kids who crash into you at the first corner.

the wheel able to match 1 to 1 with whatever is on the screen,
so if a game like live for speed, ur turning 180 high speeds, your going to spin out, but need for speed, u won't,

Me gusta. Maybe when I get a job I'll buy the darn thing for playing GT5. It's a thing of beauty, I've never had a force feedback wheel, and I assume it's something like arcade force feedback wheels of yore?

This damn wheel is too expensive. $300.00. I should have bought it when it was $222.99 on amazon. I might get the driving force gt instead.
