Had he thought that the 1 hour penalty was going to stop him from beating Danni he would have stopped in Colorado. Dani was the better rider regardless. Dani finished. Dani finished first. If Jure had finished the race and then made his case, it would have meant something. Dani was right with him with or without the penalties, the race had not been decided. Juri quit.

RAAM is far less tarnished than a man who chose not to finish and then whines through his mouth pieces.

The race we witnessed was an unbelievable effort of Dani and Jure. Both riders showed the best performance ever to be seen and we can only congratulate both of them. In my opinion Jure should have won, because he was a bit stronger, but Dani deserves all the glory for being able to ride at that pace and chasing Jure at a close distance throughout the whole race. Cheating or not, his performance was simply amazing. Congratulations, Dani, it was a pleasure watching you.

It was too obvious that the Wyss buy all the organizers of RAAM 2009. Most disappointing is that all paople sow it, and there is no action by the organizers. Disgraceful!

Dani clearly crossed the red light and broke teh rules for what he wasn't punished. Yet the race officials mocked Robic even for taking a leak...

But the point is that that crossing was pemeditated with the team, so it's more than plausible that it did not happen just once. On 3000 miles course there are many traffic light and this can give you a clear advantage...

Perry Stone PR of RAAM came to Jure and said that his four wins are enough and it is now time for somebody else to win. Without disrespect to winner Dani Wiss, but RAAM just became worthless.

Some of the penalties called out here are not really penalties. Passing on an interstate is a penalty - it could also get you killed. Not returning to the place you left the course, it's in the rule book plain and clear. Taking a leak in public when there are about 12 bathrooms available? Unfortunate Dani didn't "get caught" but how many refs does raam have? Juri lost by breaking the rules and getting caught, Dani was lucky he didnt get caught. Dani wins, Jure pouts.

Shocking disrespect to a 4 time RAAM winner whose excellence is unquestioned. RAAM should have handled this ALOT better. There is no mention of what is going on with Jure at all on the website. Huge, huge dissappontment. To have worked so hard and to have it all end like this is a farce.

As Jure said, he will congratulate to the winner, but it is obvious, that Jure was faster and officials didnt give him any of the 8 penalties that he didnt get. With those penalities it would have been easy win for Robic again.
