In the UK, all Judges give a sentence which automatically means half. So if you're sentenced to 16 years, it means 8 years. And 10 years means 5 years. Crazy but true. In this case, I think he would have only got about three years jail for his crimes. Judges in the UK often 'pity' murderers, especially rapists and child killers. The UK 'Justice' system sucks.
