  • I thought it will carry the last one and let the whole thing drop. >:D

  • but will it blend?

  • Nice

  • i didnt know there was coke light

  • cool!, are you to friendly, to tell me what do you use for motors in the pneumatic module?!

  • THAT helps a persons stacking problem!

  • i wonder if it can stack like 50 ?? cuz its pretty stable

  • are the air tanks used for im guessing yes?

  • are those tanks metal?

  • u are drunk?

  • did u make it?

  • oh snap.. it's just like the McDonalds drink machine!!! epic

  • How many cans were you able to stack like that?:p

  • @TrainingMacro

    I'm guessing .. 5

  • nice i think its kool that it dosent fall over

  • Can it also pick up beer?

  • pneumatics huh, they never had that back in the day lol

  • i would call u a geek but that is way to awsome (could watch it 24/7)

  • awsome

  • dude u can like make the tall thing an elevator that keeps going up and down....oh and how much did all that cost cuz i wantz it

  • wouldnt it be easier just to do this by hand????

  • how high can it saple?

  • percise balance O_O ...

  • which computer brick you prefer the NXT or the RCX?

  • Amazing! I have a small Mindstorms kit and I only make cars :)) I'm 12 :))

  • if you build a lego wall around it and leave a small square open you it could be a soda machine

  • where did you get the things to build this? ive asked so many but they dont tell me, can you please tell me where to get these kind of thing? if so thanks

  • that is cool

  • FOX , you can make a sky tower out of this if you make it run for 5 months non stop XD

  • can he do Coca Cola normal to>? becayse coca cola light is not that heavy :P

  • nice

kind of points less but really cool

  • how did you make it could you make a video on how to make it please and make more keep up the good work

  • Lego#57 - Tin can stacker

  • Good, but one question...

Can it lift cans that are FULL not empty?

  • cant believe how high this think can stack em

  • it´s cool but useless.

  • i can do that too .. but faster with my hands..and cheaper

  • =.='

  • but i know that you can't build this tin can stacker.. foxbox61 - great job! :)

  • @loliver231 Yes but why do it faster when you can spend a day making a machine to do it for you? There is no point to lego... only fun!

  • What's the fun in that!?

  • man, i wish i didn't have a life. lol. love your stuff. you should pursue a career in robotics engineering

  • do those blue tank like things say AIR TANK? cause if they do I WANT 1 OF EM

  • Yes, they are official Lego pneumatic air tanks. On eBay i bought 2 yellow submarines (set 8250)

  • They are air tanks !

  • @boldziga it does

  • Wow pneumatic cylindars weak man

  • I can't even do that.

  • @moldylemoninc I think doing that is more difficult than programming such a robot ;) because the bot moves slower, more linear and without shaking.

  • Nice!

  • i thought they would fall!

  • now make it do something useful :D

  • put a hot glue gun right before the lifter so they stick together and build a tower!

  • very useful...

  • people have to much spare time on there hands but it cool

  • now you should get it to pick up the stack and drop that

  • dang it! its better than me at it!

  • Well, it's a robot... It can do the exactly same thing countless times, human cant.

  • yes but it cant adapt as well to random errors - e.g. if one can was slightly weight biased and the tower was toppling to one side, the human would probably outperform this robot at that point.

  • make it it stack cans of nitroglycerin

    :3

  • make another one that takes the cans from the top :P

  • ok, one tip. Otherwise its perfect. Change it in some way so that the machine adds a can to the top instead of lifting the whole stack. That way you can stack higher and without it all falling over sometimes.

  • If it would stack on top, it would not be able to go higher, as the height of the machine would limit how high it could stack. The way it's built now enables it to keep on stacking untill the machine can't lift the weight of the stacked cans anymore, or when the cans hit the ceiling. I think making the grabbing of the cans smoother, and the placing on top of the new can a little bit more precise would make this system perfect

  • Yes, but with this machine. Try it yourself. Stack empty cans, once you get to about 5 or 6 it gets very hard to keep them from falling over. Now try it again, but add them to the bottom. It is even more hard, maybe 4 or 5 until they start leaning dangerously. I really think that you would be able to make the machine stack higher if it were to add to the top. I cant try since i dont get an RCX for another month but once i get it i will do i good demonstration.

  • will this work with other types of cans, for example, soup cans?

  • how high can this go?

  • can it lift full cans?

  • very funny XD

  • nice!!!! i made a elavater out of 1 of thoes

  • Amazing !

  • thats awesome

  • good for stephen hawking when hes alone in his kitchen but otherwise useless, genius though!! good job

  • What happens if you take the last can out?

  • now unstack it

  • Hey Foxbox61, what version of the RCX are you using? Do you own any other kinds?

  • WOW

  • cool but useless

  • @legoty10 Its not useless at all! Just make the belt longer, have it run from your living room to your bin. Have a coke. Put it on the belt, make the stacker chuck it into the bin or something.

  • @legoty10 Does creativity need to be useful?

  • Lol, this has no use what so ever but it's good.

  • All it needs is a huge crusher ontop to flatten them!

  • @EyesOnMeStudios Very possible with the power of legos pneumatics

  • i don't get the function of that thing build out of red bricks and those blue things on it =S

  • it's pneumatic pump air container that powers the machine to lift the containers.

  • Ooh thanks, and btw, are the pneumatic pumps also from lego??

  • yep

  • it houses the pneumatic piston air tanks. the motor compresses the air and it is stored in those tanks. then when needed the air is despensed to the pneumatic pistons.

  • They are air tanks for the hidrolics

  • There pneumatics you idiot.

  • you can make it do that wow

  • cool. I have an NXT and Robotics invention system

  • omfg sweet

  • wow, how high can that stack? before they get to heavy or unstable?

  • Very useful, if you drink a lot

  • hope you didn't drink all that in one day!!

  • u sould try it with filled soda cans lol!

  • are these little electronics like mini plc's?

and are those motors and stuff all made by lego??

  • yep, everything (exept the cans) is LEGO. This is the "old" robot kit Mindstorms with RCX computer brick. Today Lego has a computerbrick call NXT

  • oh thats tight

  • cool

  • yes

  • omg thats sop cool

  • doode thats awsome

how do you make that stuff? is all the parts lego kus i dont get the generators and sutff

    and the clampers

  • will it work with full tin cans??

  • No. The gripper is not powerfull enough. There is already a problem with empty cans... that's why i taped them (the purple line), so they could not slide down. I also think the carrousel is not powerfull enough to circle full cans..

  • i did not see the purple lines but now i see theme,

    thanks!

  • @foxbox61 u put a little in the bottom though because the sound isnt light enough

  • wow,a bit brutal when it grabs the stack but wow

  • Thats an innovative way of making conveyor belts!

  • whoooooow

  • sweet

  • You should make a can crushing machine.

  • Janga!

  • a new way to build skyscrapers eh?

  • cool!

  • for all your can stacking needs

  • How high can it go?

  • this is the maximum. higher would probably force me to use flat magnets. hahaha

  • i really like ur machine

  • ? Cuando tiempo libre es possible tener ?

  • yes, i have to much spare time (in the winter)

  • Tin can stacker

  • nice
