Wow, and people say the Half-Life's early development looked different.

This is one of those games where you'd be interested in playing the alpha not because you'd expect it to be a great game or anything in such a state, but because of how much was different.

Valkir was originally a drug that mutated you or something like that. That's why there's that huge dude. But that idea got cut, and they just made it into a normal drug.

This was from 1998. The game came out in 2001. This was real early code.

man i remember the first time i played this game it was the most kickass thing ever. i wish i could go back to the days where a video game character could carry like a million guns with like infinite ammo instead of nowadays where everything has to be so realistic.

I mean, yeah the models look terrible, but look at the particles, the bullet shells actually fall PROPERLY

And from what I know of, even in Max Payne 2 they didn't have bullets that fell properly

Other than that, yes Maxe's face is pretty comparing to this version

WoW never believed, that Max Payne was actually rebuilt. 3/4 of those missions werent in the game :)

the original story was that valkyre or aka drug v turned people into monsters. I believe that "thing" at 2:06 is one of the V users.

In the final game, Payne still does mention that Valkyr's origins were in some failed super soldier project.. Never knew they had actually planned to put something like that in the game. Glad they didn't! D:
