  • This is a little different from the Rammstein songs I first heard. I started out with borrowing someone's album Rosenrot. After that, I bought it and then I got myself "Reise Reise" and now I'm in possession of "Liebe ist für alle da", unfortunately without the song "Ich tu dir weh" which was sort of banished by the German government, according to the back of the CD case. It can't be that bad. Germany survived "Mann gegen mann" and now it starts to complain about this song?

  • God damn this song kicks ass, haven't heard it in a long time

  • What a beautiful lovestory... ;)

  • 1:47 dog biting glocks and ferbreze nasty nuts!

  • I will play this song when I propose to my girlfriend...when I have one.

  • Necrofilia, prazer uhasusuhsuha

    Muito boa essa música

  • I think he just dug up some girls corpse and is asking it to marry him :/

  • people whom want the translation :

    visit HERZELEID

  • watch?v=tL9Q6qex6Uk&feature=related

  • @XT873 that's exactly the point though. Till often intends to cone off in a dark and repulsive way while holding onto a romantic side.

  • by Volkswagen goes faster when i play this song.

  • Heirate mich = Be my wife = BMW

  • @kuubamies um .. no , it means "marry me"

  • To anyone that doesnt believe english is hard to learn. Check this out... Alot of words have the same pronunciation, but different spelling.... ------------------------ No Know.... So Sew... Do Dew Due... Ad Add... Aisle I'll Isle... Mustard Mustered... Precedence Precedents Presidents... Thats all I have for now, So I have to say Buy, By, Bye!!!
  • @BeachBumGTG You have a point there. But English is pretty easy to learn, it's my second language, and only took me about 6 months to learn. I am now learning German and is quite a bit harder than English.

  • @V1c98 Try to learn Russian or Chinese -) Another planet!

  • @BeachBumGTG Wow huh. That really happens in many languages though, and context rules it out most of the time.

Now shall we conjugate a few verbs?

I do, you do, he does, we do, you do, they do.

I did, you did, he did, we did, you did, they did,

I make, you make, he makes, we make, you make, they make.

I made, you made, he made, we made, you made, they made.

Not to mention future is just adding "will" or "am going to".

English is EASY MODE when comparing it to many other languages.

  • @BeachBumGTG

Its got some seriously weird annomalies built in, sure, but on the whole it is VERY simple. Chinese would crush the average man's mind into vaugely sparking neuroligical goo. And a woman would fair only a little better. As for German, it is much of the basis for English, but the gramatical law of the Roman's Latin, as well as their simpler words, had not been added in yet.

  • @BeachBumGTG Nope. Still one of the easiest languages to learn.

  • Wait What dislike button? there is no such thing!

  • Ack...too bad we did not have this music playing during the trial...

  • 7 people got rejected when they said "heirate mich" to their loves ones... 4 of these were JB proposing to guys so you can get the picture what the other 3-4 are :P

  • not hating, i love Rammstein to bits but ewwwwww thts just gross X(

  • I'm pretty sure your translation of stone would be translated into 'gravestone' in English.

  • @Anavrin9

Actually no - you are right in that "gravestone" is what is meant. However that in German would also be GRABstein, not just "Stein". They're omitting Grave/Grab on purpose. "Stein" just means "stone" and only the context makes it clear that they're singing about a gravestone.

  • @Kerphelio01 Nah, I meant you should change it to gravestone because it's implied that it's a gravestone when he sais 'Stein', even though 'Stein' is just stone. But in English we would always say gravestone.

  • @Anavrin9

I understand what you say - however in german it's exactly the same as in english. Using just "Stein" sounds as startling and off to a german listener as it does to you as a english listener. It's not "proper" german to refer to a gravestone just as a stone.

All I'm saying is that actually the translation is correct because it's Rammstein who intentionally chose to say it in this, well, alienating way. The translation just maps that effect over into the english language.

  • @Kerphelio01 I agree with you. I think it was on purpose. I don't know, but it makes him sound more cold and brutal when he just calls it a stone.

  • english is hardest language to learn, german is piss easy. Nuff sala

  • @lilrcjd1002 if you already know a latin language (like Romanian) it's easy to learn English :D

  • @lilrcjd1002 actualy english is one of the easiest languages to learn, that's why it's so much spoken unlike german and russian which are realy hard to learn, especialy russian :x

  • @ta6yLMAO English is not the esiest language to learn. There are many rule about English that make it most difficult.

  • @Kreigmeister1 it`s in top ten of the easiest, and slovak language is hardest to learn! officialy.... you know few scientists made a statement:D (I am Slovak .. and when I make mistake in one of easiest language,.I really hate scientists ! :D ..)

  • @Kreigmeister1 more dificult you mean. Cos it´s one of the esiest altought any lenguage is hard to learn

  • Wuthering Heights...

  • @lildadaragad so true :)

  • rammstein is the reason i wanna learn german :D

  • @enxhio same here!

  • @enxhio me to i understand a little bit of German and i know so words of German and this the first band i listen of German band and Rammstein is a really really great band my favorite song is Wo Bist Du and Helden

  • @sliferdragon1

Did you kwow that "Helden" is an translation of David Bowie's song "Heroes".

David has sung the song in German too. In my humble opinion did he a good job with it. Just look it up.

  • this is my safari jeep driving song

  • The beginning of Wuthering Heights fits perfectly with this song. The part where Heathcliffe digs up Cathy's body just to see her again. It was like this song was written for it.

  • The keyboard in the beginning of this song is intense.

  • i speak fluent german and it sonds a lot better in german

  • @GoHUnholy That is what she said my friend.

  • @GoHUnholy of corse it does :D no one doubts that. but i guess those who cannot speak german want to understand the conclusion, the content of these songs...

btw: i'm doing this because I love german but also want to speak english fluently. so i do these songtext translations for exercise =)

  • @AnneNymus

For an exercise, you make its look very professional. Thank you for providing it for all of us.

  • @GoHUnholy I wish speak german fluently, i wanned so much to learn but i'm from Portugal and it's difficult to find books and schools that teach german -.-

  • one of the best lyrical genius songs

  • dislike bar is as the air :

You can't see it but you know that's there

  • Sounds just like Metallica

  • @bioshockrulez1 not really

  • ne lustige art und weiße seine freundin zu fragen oder??? xD

  • this song is the reason why im taking German in high school. :)

  • Zum glück kann ich Deutsch :D

  • man i learn german and i love every second of it, i even get on skype with friends from austria

  • press "ctrl+w" for an awesome German onscreen keyboard

  • @metrotorful Oldest trick in the book dumb ass. i didn't even finish your comment because i knew what "ctrl+w" is.

  • goddamn..

  • this song kicks ASSS!!!

  • World of Roguecraft!

  • @TAIDZ1rst I know, it has lots of crappy shows, but it's still better than nothing. Here, in Romania, we don't have other German channels :(

  • One of the greatest love songs ever

  • I'm learning German just because of this band. And I mean, REALLY learn German. 1 year and a half since I started studying and I can watch Sat1 (German TV channel) and understand what they say! :D I have 6 years of French and can barely make up a few words.

So thank you, Rammstein! I think they just defined my future. Being a German translator is a VERY well payed job here.

Oh and awesome song by the way

  • english and german have the same origin (west germanic language family) together with dutch and a few other. so in the end learning german is more easy for an englishman than for a chinese or asian in general.

  • translating rammstein songs are sometimes difficult.

    german language is ambigous.

    "du has(s)t) mich"

    - you hate me or you have me ?????

  • @gbxfreak

    hasst=hate

    hast=have

now what's so difficult about that. pretty easy.

  • @gbxfreak Nemesis is right and I would like to add, that when you see a verb starting with "ge" after hast (or haben, habt, etc), it is past tense. Du hast mich gefragt, means "you have asked me". "You hate me asked" doesn't really make sense, right? ;o)

  • @tinie15 and thats the point- you know that "has(s)t mich" in the meaning of have is

AFTER this phrase " mich gefragt" your are right . before this phrase there are no conclusion, imho.

btw, i haven't any problems with the german langugage, because .... ;)

ps: english is a step harder than english (for Me) :)

languages are ambigous english, german etc, this was the reason for my posting. :)

  • @tinie15 lol, omg you are also german.

    "GUTEN TAG" ;)

felling B - schoen, dass du sowas hoehrst und jetzt kann der uebersetzer angeworfen werden, die das nicht lesen koennen ;)

    lg aus sbk

  • @gbxfreak actually, I'm not German but I live in Germany... I thought you were learning German so I just tried to help. :o) Auf jedem Fall, ich wünsche dir auch einen schönen Tag! Viele Grüße aus Berlin! :o)

  • dude, i would totally say yes to him... even if i was dead :P

  • Fucking dislikers... Where is Hitler when we need him?...

  • Comment removed

  • Right Magical725 this is a good idea . It is a bad language , but i would do this to understand rammstein

  • I love how every single Rammstein song lyric page is littered with discussions about the better country and language, regardless of the actual song topic. Is anyone actually catching that this is a song about necrophilia?

  • @Archwindom english corpses are tighter

  • Ist eigentlich ganz nützlich wenn die Engländer oder Amis Deutsch lernen. Denn da muss ich nicht englisch lernen

  • Comment removed

  • idk why ppl say German is a really really hard language to learn, because (especially if you speak English by native tongue) its like the same as learning English since English came from German, i been just listening to A LOT of Rammstein and just by doing that and looking at the translations and seeing the many similarities in the two i can put a pretty good amount of sentences together that aren't hard to learn at all

  • @blitzkreig999555 to me german is easy to learn lol... because im learning spanish in school and i remember the german i learn from listening to rammstein and what im teaching myself lol better then the Spanish i learn lol

  • @adrenaline47Junkie I can't tell how your German is progressing. However, if you're making connection btwn German and Spanish..well, I don't believe your easy learning of German. Since German and English are the same language family, and Spanish is another, I'd assumed that you would speak English better than you do.

That's one thing I can tell for sure after reading your comment: there's no way understanding your English. and considering that German is more difficult (I studied both), you don't

  • @danielkrzysiek (con'd) know German either.

  • @danielkrzysiek.. no i know Spanish and German are completely different...and really all i was trying to say is to me in my opinion... i find German easier to start learning than say Spanish is which i have taken for a few years now in school... really i was just speaking my opinion

  • @blitzkreig999555 German is really difficult. It has grammar that is sooo messed up.

  • @blitzkreig999555 It is hard because for every word in English there are like 3 in German. Plus they make up words on the fly by sticking words together. And there is also this Genitiv/Dativ, Neutral, etc stuff.

  • This song is about a man whose wife's death cost him his sanity, and now he steals her corpse from the graveyard. The chorus and song title means "Marry Me" in German. (thanks, Jonas - Rødovre, Denmark)

  • the end of this song is kinda scary

  • I heard this 3 times without knowing what it meant =[ lol

  • Let's all just learn German. :]

  • @Magical725 yeah you'd better cuz the english speaking economy is going SHIT unlike onkel deutschland

    lol

  • @Magical725 In the process of doing just that!

  • @Magical725 already know it

  • @Magical725 ich konkurrieren :) lol i concur my friend

  • 4:12 nice part

  • lol, red cock

  • Rammstein is the Philosophy of life. You just don't get it.

  • @dfab1526 Rammstein is also they way of life

  • some seriously messed up lyrics in here ... great song though !

  • The way they used this in David Lynch's Lost Highway was creepy.

  • why are you fucking losers arguing about language anyway?Shut the fuck up and enjoy the rammstein song in all its glory.

  • das ist so ein richtig kaputes lied aber geil

  • I think I just orgasmed.

  • I thought hard but I cannot compare the languages I use. I simply love them all and do not find them hard or easy, there are just interesting, because of their differences. (I speak german, russian, english, french and spanish)

  • language discussion: THINK!! if english was as difficult as you believe: why should every one in the whole world communicate in english?!

can't believe that some guys seriously think english is difficult. just read some articles in the internet and you'll find out soon that you are wrong. AE and BE is easy to learn and not difficult to speak!! believe me!! arrrgh! -_- asian langues are difficult to learn because they're based on a completly different script-system... but this is another topic.

  • @AnneNymus

"language discussion: THINK!! if english was as difficult as you believe: why should every one in the whole world communicate in english?!"

because the dominant empires in the past 200 years have been english speaking

as someone who speaks fluent english, japanese, and portugese, english is by far the most complex of the three.

  • @TehPenar Do you really mean it? Japanese is not as difficult as I think?? Cool! I'd love to speak it fluent, too!

  • @ilonaolga

the only thing that really bothered me about japanese was learning the kanji (you need almost 2000 for solid reading)

  • @TehPenar Cool!!!

  • @AnneNymus

how hard a language is to learn is also entirely dependent on how different it is from your base language. japanese is a very simple language grammatically, but it's also extremely different from english, hence a reason why a lot of native english speakers might find it intimidating.

regardless: what language is dominant in the world has NOTHING to do with how easy to is to learn. english is popular because dominant countries in the past 200 years have spoken english; that's all

  • @AnneNymus fine: I don't think the ubiquity of the English language has much too do with the ease of earning it. You make it sound as if it was some sort of choice.... everybody speaks English because Great Britain and later America have dominated the world for the past several hundred years. If China becomes as powerful everybody will speak Mandarin, regardless of what script system it uses.

  • @AnneNymus How is English easy? I'm not saying it's as hard as Chinese, but there are exceptions to every rule.

  • @AnneNymus

"if english was as difficult as you believe: why should every one in the whole world communicate in english?!"

Didn't it occur to you that the whole world communicates in English because in the 19th century the British Empire expanded into the largest Empire in history? -_-' I would be very curiuos to know how many languages you are able to speak, and mostly, what your native language is. Please don't tell me you're English... you would really make a fool out of yourself

  • @StrNataliaStr yeah....that was the 19th century, move on and get real

  • @AnneNymus you kidding? korean is one of the easiest languages to learn to read and write.

  • @AnneNymus

All languages are hard to learn, dude. Even math, klingon, and (especially) internet slang.

  • _sadfasdfasd

  • @AnneNymus Better think yourself: English is the world language, because first Great Britain was a colonial power and now the US impose their language onto the world. It's a question of power - not a question of how easy the language can be learnt. English sucks! It is irregular and has more exceptions than rules! If mankind chose the world language by its easiness, mankind would have chosen Bahasa Indonesia! It took me only 2 weeks to learn it and it's now my favourite language.

  • @TheNlmarco pig latin.... took me 5 min's to learn it lol

  • @AnneNymus You can't know how difficult English is until you have studied it. Oh sure the basics of English are easy to learn and understand, but writing and spelling correctly is a whole other thing.

  • @AnneNymus Thats right. Im french canadian and I go to an english school. I can tell you french is way harder than english...

  • @AnneNymus

why everyone more or less can speak english is because,.. the most countries in the world,.. have english ;)

But.. before american was there.. most people talk chinese..

    thats what i heard..^^

  • @AnneNymus yeah but japanese is hard as fuck at least for me

  • @AnneNymus yes the whole communicate in english but that is because the english had a lot of colonies and not that it is easy.

    but where are you from?

  • @AnneNymus asian languages, like Japanese is very easy to learn because the tenses are just some terminations put to the verb at the end, anyway :D Japanese is an easy and fun language to learn :D

  • @AnneNymus Well, some people are going to say there "language" is the easiest because that was the 1st language they were taught as children, rught?

  • @MetalHeadMassacre THERE language is easier than German. Yet they can't speak RUGHT. Go back to 2nd grade. And don't assume that if s1 speak/write English they're your countrymen.

  • @MetalHeadMassacre Seems she's German, yet she writes English better than you, who are American. Ain't it funny?

  • @danielkrzysiek or it could be that i dont really look at the keyboard while i type.

  • Comment removed

  • @MetalHeadMassacre So where you're looking? Outside the window? Cause if you were looking at the screen you should see that there's sth wrong.

You see typos happen. But there is huge difference between THERE and THEIR.

  • @danielkrzysiek ok drop it buddy -_-

  • @AnneNymus Explain to the learners of your language how and why do you pronounce 'sweat' and 'sweet', but then have 'read'. That's difficult! And English as a lingua franca was not a choice, the US happened to destroy all its world competitors in the WW2. German was the scientific lingua franca before WWI. The US forbade this language to be used internationally.

  • @merliomar I guess she's German (maybe wrong though). Just bc she can speak English you assume that she's American, right? Reality check: lots of Chinese and many others throughout the world speak English. Each language has homonyms and homophones - you should know that.

  • @AnneNymus world doesnt communicate on english because its easiest... xD

  • @AnneNymus cuz einstein was a bitch

  • @AnneNymus I think English as a universal language probably has more to do with the British empire and America's current world hegemony.

  • @AnneNymus true enough that.

  • @AnneNymus I should know I've been a student of German AND Japanese for years....

  • @AnneNymus I agree & disagree. If we are talking about Chinese, then it certainly uses a different script system. Therefore, an English speaker USUALLY needs more time to master Chinese than he/she would with....say German. On the other hand, a Chinese speaker might find Japanese "easy" and English "difficult" because of the script difference. I disagree with the concept of a difficult language. No foreign language is easy if the learner doesn't put in any effort. But thanks for the video!

  • @helsinkisuomi About Chinese might be added, that it has pretty few grammar. Therefor the system of the chinese language is easy to learn. But youll need some thousand vocabs to read a normal newspaper because of that ineffcient script system.

Concerning English: Is is pretty easy to reach a fairly good level of English. But its damn hard work to become an adept of it.

If you want some tough grammar, learn Ottoman (a mixture of Turkish, Arab and Persian, 3 languages that are not related al all).

  • @Nervmichblossnet Very interesting....but I think I am gonna master German before tackling Ottoman!!

  • @AnneNymus completely agree. what's really ironic (and proves your point) is that the largest population of english speakers is the chinese. :)

  • @AnneNymus Agreed, although in general the Germanic languages (English, German, etc.) are much more difficult to learn in comparison to the Romance languages like Spanish, Italian, etc. I don't find German particularly difficult to learn in terms of grammar, since almost everything follows one of maybe three patterns at a time, but in terms of vocabulary, it can be extremely difficult. Even disregarding slang terms, there are usually at the very least two meanings to every word. Reverse for A/BE

  • @waffman11 You took the words out of my mouth! I am learning German on my own (with Rammstein as my inspiration, of course) and have finished a few chapters in my book. The grammar is not an issue for me. Trying to remember the gender of the nouns is!

  • @helsinkisuomi I just learned it at school. Rammstein makes me even better tho.

  • @AnneNymus

I love the german language I think it sounds fucking awesome. I plan to learn to speak it fluently some time in the near future.

  • anything is better than that awful spanish language. When I hear people talk in spanish I feel like my ears are going to begin to bleed.

  • @HailDaFins So true! :))

  • @AnneNymus Idiot, and if you were born Japanese or Chinese, it would be difficult for YOU because english would use a different script system.

  • @AnneNymus english is the easeast languages, and it takes idiots not to think that. i speack english, spanish, and gealic

  • @AnneNymus

i think that most latin-alphabet langueges are simmilar in difficulity, however most people learn english early and when people get the chance to learn other langueges they are far past the prime langueges learning age, making it far more difficult.

  • @AnneNymus english is rly easy language, speak german is rly easy too, BUT the gramatik is very Difficult !

  • i am learning german..it is really hard but with some patience and determination anyone can learn that wonderful language:).

  • @1234ZEUS567 Mark Twain wrote a piece called, "The Awful German Language." The only other language that is AS difficult to learn, is English. ;-)

  • welsh is worse than german.

  • This was the first song I heard about necrophillia.

  • @UristMcgee look up in my room by icp

  • sad song

  • Estonian is one of the hardest languages in the world

  • I thought Russian was the hardest language?

  • @anythingnew icelandic is alot harder

  • This is a VERY romantic song. Not into necrophilia, fyi.

  • In soviet russia.... NOTHING out of the ordinary happens , unless ramstein are there , then shit kicks off!!!

  • best proposal song ever :P

  • 5 idiots. World cannot be perfect :)
