I miss the Grass Valley area as well. People that think there is nothing to do there are the same kind of people that wouldn't do anything no matter where they lived. There are trails, lakes, rivers, mountains, water skiing, snow skiing, photography, cycling, dirt biking, 4 wheeling, camping, fishing, concerts, parks all over, theater, and all within a few hours of Sac, San Fran, The Coast, Tahoe, Reno, Gold Country, Wine country, the Delta, etc etc...
Looks like that's driving back into GV on McCourtney Rd... coming past the horse ranch from out near the landfill..Was a fulltime GV resident until I bailed 10 years ago....."too many cops!!"
@Andrea6702 Try upstate new york or south carolina! they have 5 times more cops! and in GV, you can always go on back roads around the cops! I lived there 18 years and know where ALL of them sit!! :D
If you actually did some traveling instead of sitting around crying there's nothing to do, you'd appreciate Grass Valley a lot more. Travel the Western United States, and tell me the Yuba River isn't a fucking awesome river, and what about Condon Disc Golf Course, Toney's Mountain, there's all kinds of shit to do and have sex and smoke weed.
Military took me away from this gorgeous place! Miss my hometown! I live in Washington State now.
