i play the guitar for 20 years now. i'm a shredder and you know why? the reason is quite simple , i'm not able to play like chet. even if i had 20 fingers on my left hand i would still suck compare to mister guitar , he is my all-time hero together with james burton
Hello! Have you ever tried intellectus 424 diet (do a search on google)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker lost crazy amounts of weight with it.
aw, I could do that.....haha, just kidding...I've been playing guitar for 50 years, and I still am perpetually in awe of what chet can do with the guitar....he is truly blessed by God to play like he does..like he did. there will never be another to compare.
Yes this seems to be an absolute masterclass LIVE! I think it's better than some of his other recordings of the piece. The guitar is shimmering (weeping) like a zither. It's spell-binding and awfully clever. That independence between fingers and thumb is denied to most of us. The extra little fills and nuances entrance one. I miss him too, so I do. RIP CACGP

It just doens't get better--whay a virtuoso he was. I'm sure his style is diffidult to play, but he always made it seem so effortless and kept the melody true.
While this captured the spirit of that beautiful original song, he also created something new..... the guitar verson, without which the song would not have been complete!
tomanderson92 I am constantly amazed at how versatile Chet was. If memory serves me correctly that same year he also performed with Three Dog Night on a Kraft Music Hall Special. Being a classical guitarist myself I am in constant of him.

Why would someone whose playing flows so effortlessly WANT to shred? This guy was a gift from God. I miss him terribly.

I thought briefly and comically, but suspiciously honestly, about grave robbing for that right hand; at least the fingers! Always amazes me./
