The trucks they are talking about that are a problem, the broken GAS line, going the wrong way down their dead end road, are not WM trucks. The sign on the corner has been for 15 years or more. The trucks they show in the dirt are 1/4 mile away from the corner they are talking about. These home owners should have made their voices heard when WM came to town. They didn't and now they want to blame WM for everything. Notice that WM didn't get to make a comment. I bet all these people SHOP at WM.
The trucks they are talking about that park in the middle of the road are not Wal Mart Drivers. WM does not allow their drivers to stop there because It is AGAINST THE LAW! There are 2 other industrial buildings down the the same street and there is truck traffic going to both. Also, with the Denny's, Burger King, & 2 hotels (which Wal Mart did not have anything to do with) there are a lot of truckers using those services. These peoples problem should actually be with the city zoning department.
Waaaahh! The DC gives hundreds of people JOBS which they pay income tax on and gives local residents money which they spend locally which they pay sales taxes on which they pay their mortgages with which they pay property taxes on which go into the local economy etc, etc. etc...........
Can't believe this people. Is not walmarts fault that there is bk n a holiday inn there, now their going to try to say that lowes n the home depot are a result of the walmart dc being there.
Old people will bitch about anything....I've seen bigger traffic problems at that intersection when the Beckman's employees get off at 3pm than I have from trucks. The hotels are more of a result from the local casino than from the WM D.C.
the one thing good about what i do... and how California handles things, they take into account all of the traffic and how it would affect the nearest sensitive receptors (like residents). however, wal-mart could go in somewhere and add a crap load of traffic and noise, but the effects can still be under regulations, and people are going to complain anyway. honestly no matter what people are going to complain.
The Problem isnt with Wal-Mart its with the Zoning the Porterville Polititions and design, Everyones Grievences should be concidered in my eyes if you want to know more about how monopolies like Wal-Mart are Ruining our countries Goodle "Ron Paul" i used to live in porterville so i should Know.
