  • Wait... Retail price for new AAA games in the US is 60 bucks?

What the hell are you complaining about? That's like half the retail price we pay in Norway.

  • I have to say it: I now want to create a character in an RPG who is a Ninja, a Mage and named Don

  • I must be the only one who finds these funny.

  • Why cant you just go back to what made you great....

    These skits are completely uninteresting.

  • lol

dont say it dont say it dont say it dont say it

    there can be only 1

    oh for **** sake

  • go ivan!!

  • @ moviebob great to see the overthinker back on youtube! Sadly I can't get on screwattack from work so It's good to have a chance to watch again!

  • I though there'd be a green Grass Ninja or something...

  • @xdearlifex

Hey asshole shut the fuck up.

  • @thefakerhaloprime360

    Stop copy cating

  • Where exactly can I email my question?

  • Can't wait for the Gee-Whiz spinoff!

  • Manic Mailman? Roger Myers Jr. won't be happy to hear this.

  • Wouldn't anti-metal bullets be a lot simpler?

  • I think what Bioware did with the Dragon age games is probably the best way to go when it comes to "morality", at least in RPGs with a multiple character party. It would be even better it they tried doing that without any meters at all, that way people would have to pay more attention to the character's reactions not just their approval meter if they wanted them to stay friendly.

  • I had to like for Ivan's reaction to line when killing cryothinker.

  • G wiz spin-off? I say no

  • Sound?

    What irony..

  • yea grown men fighting in ninja suits while saying cheesy lines is kinda lame

  • I liked TechTV better than G4. Back then games were only part of the equation, not the entire formula.

  • I haven't finished the episode yet, but I'm guessing that the red gem is going to be something akin to a Chaos Emerald.

  • I'm gonna basically repeat what I said on ScrewAttack.

-There already is a all purpose media playing device... It's called a PC.

-There already is a 3rd nation/region in the VG realm... It's called Canada!

as for "the cloud"... It could have happened years ago.

  • 9:00 You cut off his dick!

  • 4:54 Thanks for picking my question! :)

...never heard of the game Applejack.

  • Between what seems to me like a slight slowdown in tech advancement, developer greed & the simple fact that the "Cloud" is pretty far off from being both technologically and economically viable, I'd say it'll take more than 20 years to hit the "One Console/No Console" era.

  • @lycanfan Well, all that, and the present economy.

  • @lycanfan We could have had it years ago.

The only reason we don't have it currently is because the big wigs are making far too much cash off of the current console market.

BUT if a company like IDK... Nintendo; was to release a PC Zelda game that would make Skyrim look like Prysm and cost less than Minecraft, you wouldn't care that it didn't come out on a console; You'd just be glad it existed.

  • @misterprickly rotten All research I have dedicated to this subject has indicated otherwise, at least in terms of the "Cloud". As for a One Console Era, that we could've had years ago, I'll aquiese that. I'd also like to state, that I think it would be great if we were prestnly in a One Console Era.

  • @lycanfan Also, I'll freely admit that I prefer console gaming to PC.

  • Just for the record, I wrote the first question he answered.

  • I know you're probably really proud of your skits and whatnot, but please take a cue from guys like Linkara and split the episodes up. It lets the viewer enjoy what they want to see without interrupting the flow of either segment. This fight scene, for example, seems just really choppy and drawn out when spread across completely unrelated topics, and it's hard to focus on what you're saying when random scenes of ninja fighting are spliced in.

  • @1337hotshot I watched the actual fights, they were half entertaining. But yeah, I just skipped through the running and the set up scenes.

  • @1337hotshot Yeah,like linkara don't have a POINTLESS USELESS,opening,and skits in EVERY EPISODE...sorry almost all,and spoony too...only even MORE moronic then bob.

  • damn it! I can't remember where the music at 8:52 is from in LoZ... and I know I'm going to kick myself for forgetting it!

easy to play, challenging to finish, difficult to complete? so... World of Goo?

  • Why make nearly impossible to skip past the skits?

  • I love you, but hate the skits

  • I loved building a better gamer. It got me into almonds. Thanks for that, by the way.

  • ...Holy fuck, you mad, Lavos.

    Jesus Christ.

    Chill.

  • @GriffenMorivan i dont know why everyone is so mad about the story stuff

its kinda cheesy but hes working from a low budget and its only lasts about 5 min tops anyway

eather way hes better than stupid mario bros

  • I wonder what he thinks about pc gaming? I think over thinker really overrates old school gaming. I think consoles will end up kinda like onlive that runs off an app on your smart tv. Or gaming on demade over your cable network.

  • @jordler He said in a 'Big Picture' episode that while games that people think as "PC games" are thriving more than ever, they are starting to migrate away from PCs to other platforms like consoles, smartphones and web browsers.

  • OK, I had enough of this, I'll have to look somewhere else...

  • At least you didn't you "You've just been Iced!"

  • you sir, did NOT earn that Highlander reference. You can't say 'Fuck the katana" in one episode and reference Highlander in the next.

  • @LavosSoval Please see 7:10 for a direct response to your concerns.

  • @LavosSoval Do you know what "pandering" means? From your response, I assume not. To paraphrase Bob's point at 7:10: this show is his "creative thing" and not subject to the demands of fans. I think this is a valid position: by and large, catering to the demands of fans results in mediocre lowest-common-denominator fluff. Put another way: asking your consumers what (else) they want is stupid because they don't actually know.

  • @LavosSoval For a start, your criticism is unwanted. Again, see 7:10. Further, your opinion is most likely that of a lay person: which means it holds next to no weight. Finally, TGO is a video-format blog. It's Bob's personal musings on this, that and the other. It owes you nothing and if you don't like what's here, go somewhere else. Heck, if you feel so strongly about PC gaming, why not start your own commentary show?

  • @LavosSoval You are lay because you have no experience in filmmaking. Your opinion isn't the result of an educated analytical process but a gut feeling about what you "like" and what you "don't like". Everybody has opinions like these; they're just noise. Further, creative endeavours like TGO are the result of many hours of passionate hard work and nothing kills artistic passion quite as fast as somebody standing over your shoulder telling you you're doing it wrong.

  • @BotmanR I don't know enough about the SA competition to comment. What I will say is that, imo, successful filmmaking must be guided by a singular artistic vision and not a committee of screaming fans, however well intentioned. If Bob changes the show to better suit its audience it ceases to be his "thing" and becomes a chore he does for random strangers on the internet. FWIW: I'm not a big fan of the skits either, but I enjoy the rest of the content enough to self-edit where necessary.

  • Listen, I understand how you stand on the pricing of gaming. But I think you kind of forgot how expensive games USED to be. A new SNES cart like say, Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy III (VI) would run you $79.99 back in the '90s. And digital distribution has brought prices of full classic games WAY down. Games like Earthworm Jim, Perfect Dark, and Beyond Good and Evil all come at a hugely discounted price with more features and graphical updates. So yeah, pricing today is much better.

  • The cheesiness radar, it's off the scale.

  • @DonTokoroten2009 The cheese is fine. We need more ham.

  • stop 卐OPA!
