  • is there anything similar to this product?

  • Looks cool, has lots of features (accellerometer!? FM receiver!? weird inclusions..).. BUT...The synthesis seems really really basic..16 controls per synthesis type... minus envelope and LFO controls that doesn't leave alot of controllable parameters for shaping the sound...

  • So far this has a great interface design, but the sound... They need a proper demo of the sound, because in all the demos I've seen it sounds harsh plastic and... well crappy. But that might just be the presets they choose to demo.

  • OP-1... when they say that, it sounds like they should add Kenobi...

  • thor is better and cheaper ,

    ( contact me Teen E )

  • Is it worth $800?!

  • @baldeeee over 50,000 sounds

  • @proudalbanian7 that doesnt actually mean anything... 50,000 presets? or cabable of 50,000 variations of sound?!

  • @baldeeee variations

  • what is up with sweden? i have an machedrum and a nord modular g2 on my desk. this will probably be next. yea for sweden! is there something in the water there? do kids play with synths in grade school? hmm...

  • does any one know when it comes out?

  • @Jp0p4life They recently recieved the master unit that will go into production. My guess is summer.

  • Yihaaa, brave new world, it's i´ntuition materialized.

  • THATS FROM "WANNA KNOW YOU NAME"

  • @jakeparker11 *clap**clap**clap*

  • @patawic This baby costs 700$.... can't efford that lil shit :)

  • Perhaps it could be used as a more-flexible-than-Electribe-style phrase synth phrase looper?

But then again, it's almost obnoxiously small and portable. They're clearly encouraging us to take it out and 'do things' with it.

It is for avant-guard electronica or contemporary soundscaping? I think it's undefinable will make it a broad instrument for many markets

  • I love stuff like this. I know it's not exactly in the same territory as MicroKorgs and Microsamplers but the OP-1 seems like that kind of machine.

I don't mind that it's not a player's synth (with that key-bed) but what EXACTLY is it actually for? Clearly not a classic MPC-style drum machine (with that no velocity sensitivity).

I know a lot of 'noise-core' type musicians who would adore this but I can't imagine that they're it's primary market..

  • $800 stop asking!

  • Swedish design - best in the world. Trademark = simple, easy on the eye and functional.

  • in an other video a guy sad it will cost probably under 1000 dollars but over 500...

  • the cost?

  • Guys tell me the price... How Much is it please!!!! I want it now!!!

  • @mickey006

the op-1 will come out at the end of 2010 or at the latest 2011, so there is no price for it yet.

  • Holy hell the OP-1 is sexxxy looking in motion. I hope the sound engine is as good sounding as the hardware is good looking.

  • @Biopharmer check out the song ONE, by Swedish House Mafia.

  • ohhhwow. hello new friend.

  • tape stop sounds near the end are a really neat feature, would be really neat to get one of these someday :P amazing synth

  • sounds pretty neat! Phat synth :D

  • I want with a burning intensity.
