@TechReviews161 Cliff used a few distortion pedals, as far as I know an Electro-harmonix Big Muff was one of the big players, I believe he used the Ibanez Tube Screamer as well. For wah he used the Morley Power Wah Fuzz and Morley Power Wah Boost, unfortunately both are discontinued so you'll have to either find a vintage one or buy the modern Morley Power Wah. @brettblox Cliff used a Rickenbacker bass, which is known for its squeaky treble, taking some of the bottom end out, and then on top of that Cliff used a lot of overdrive on his bass which mixed in with the rhythm guitar's overdrive.

If you're not a guitar player, basically Cliff set up his tone to close to the frequencies of a guitar to be audible, but in the end added a thicker and tighter bottom to the mix.
