It's a true alto sound in the tradition of Bird, Desmond, Stitt, Phil instead of that tight spinning vibrato that characterizes all of the smooth jazzers. Not only are the solos devoid of structure and invention but the sound itself is a banal, sterile imitation of authentic feeling.

Grace Kelly has a very nice tone for somebody with such a soft voice.
