This lion was chained to a tree when Howard shot it. At 1:29 you can see it clawing at the air because it can't get any closer to attack. It is at the end of the chain.

Howard is known to cheat to get kills on film. Research it!

Of course, defend the herd (and your "tribe") from aggressive predators, but this seems more like a poorly justified exhibition.
