  • Thank u poor kids for making sneakers for spoiled materialistic sneakerheadz and hypebeasts to wear, collect, and resell them for higher profit.

  • Bring this jobs to Morocco if they don't want them we would love to have Nike in morocco

  • I see this as a multifold problem. If they were paid say $2 a hour, the shoes would be much higher, then affording them is impossible for some people. Thus, you reduce the need and thus reduce the work force. Thus more unemployed and they die.

  • Don't think it's just Nike? Most American based manufacturing companies are shipping production facilities to 3rd world countries.

  • Thi is why I hate capitalism. Some idiot comes up with an idea and he makes millions if he just sits on his stupid arrogant ass all day, while people that do all the work for the buisnessman get paid shit

  • @spursfan112 Knowledge pays the most. It would make no sense for labor jobs to be paid better than those that require more intellect, otherwise everyone would care less about educating themselves. Anyone with half a brain can do physical work, but the same is not true for jobs that require more thought.

  • where would be better to get your trainers ???

  • I'm asking this because I'm seriously curious, but what would these people's lives be like if Nike didn't exist and there was no sweatshop?

  • @heatbucspies55 Exploitation is taking advantage of people, it's unethical, it doesn't have to be forced. You can use your argument for child sex slaves, saying hey "Their pimping out this 15 year old girl, but if it wasn't for them she would be starving". Nike is exploiting the people and land, there is no excuse or justification.

  • @3rdChoiceDotOrg

Thanks for not answering my legitimate question.

Rather than ignorantly going "Well, Nike is really improving their lives" I decided to try to see if someone could tell me what the alternative is, I wasn't even defending it, but waitta ignore what I asked and just go into argument mode.

And I imagine if you talked to someone who had worked in a nike sweatshop and as a sex slave, they'd tell you that comparison is ridiculous.

  • well... the people who work there have a choice to stop working.

  • @SuperOriginalGuy

You're right, they do - it's called dying of starvation.

Working in brutal conditions or starving is not a choice.

    Period.

  • this is funny., I don't care.

  • FUCK THOSE YELLOW CHEAP LABOUR FORCE ASIAN MONKEYS,I DON*T GIVE A FUCK ABOUTE THESE,1OR 3$ IN DAY I DON*T CARE)) MY NIKES ROCKS I BOUGHT JORDAN XIII TODAY)))

  • the worst thing is not these people working in this conditions its u people that say its life , its fair or economics u are just modern suporters of slavery

  • Geeee....i dont know...all the biggest companies are using sweatshops...its no secret. The world is fair...sweatshops give people a reason and purpose to these people and stops them from becoming prostitutes, drug users and know the value of education. Its merely human labor granted in not so good living conditions.Sweatshops are here to stay to feed the populace of consumerism and all the hypocrites that live in it.Be realistic. You are still paying for the shipping and taxes.Get over it

  • @memoktc I din't know how smart people like you isn't a President of USA. OMG!!! Child labor is rock! Slavery who cares they are just stupid people they should be happy to work like slaves. You, the best. Go you!!!Go Nike!!!!!!! People like you make me vomit.

  • @zmangmz

Learn to read or just grow up dude.I am not supporting slavery..i am merely stating the obvious that sweatshops are part of human lifestyle and it drives the economic engine of the world. And somewhere in the world out there its still being practice.Nike is not the only one.Read the Chinese news and you will see hundreds more.Ever seen the making of an Ipad from foxcon?Apples use sweatshops as well man.So just read more and get educated dude.So unless you are god himself please grow up

  • @memoktc You are answering with all the power of most ignorant person on the earth. Who doesn't give F* because you aren't one of those slaves. But, those shit will knock your door pretty soon, and who need more knowledge about is you. The economy of the world is turning around. Watch out stupid...Or ooops, Ariznona is another Country. lol....lol....

  • @zmangmz

Actually you are the one who is ignorant of all..You cant expect sweatshops to disappear just by boycotting a company. What will happen to all those workers?where will they get jobs?how will their country get income?and what you think they are Slaves?A slave works by force without any form of pay or benefit. You dont even have the slightest idea what a slave is...Suffering is not measurable...heck you can ask any of those sweatshop workers and they still say its better than selling ass

  • hey, you don't have to explain it to me, I'm aquainted with economic theories, try explaining it to the suffering sweatshop slave that his/her circumstances are ultimately beneficial to them and their society as a whole.

  • Nike sweat shops are a good thing actually... Please ask me why so i can explain some basic economics to you.

  • @slumberingsam yea pls explain buddy..? i need some light on this matter...

  • @jan29pawan You boycott Nike and they will simply close factories... People will lose their jobs and be forced into the alternatives. This is not forced labor... This is labor by choice. That choice is important because it demonstrates that the workers prefer working for Nike as opposed to the alternatives (prostitution, going through garbage, thieving...) If you force a minimum wage you only end up with deindustrialization because corporations will simply move business else where.

  • @slumberingsam hmm...buddy but u said nike sweatshops are good? how can a workplace like this be good?

its not only jus related to choice...people go and work out so as to make a living..due to unemplyment and other factors...people are forced to take up such jobs...now since they are connected to the industry..industry should not make them work like nike did in its sweatshops...dont u think what nike or for all those industrys practicing this..this is something unethical on their part...?

  • YouTube "learnliberty sweatshops".. Whether or not i think it is ethical to take advantage of people's poverty is irrelevant. They pay and conditions may not be up to your standards but they obviously are acceptable to the people volunteering. The most important thing is the choice. Either they work for Nike or turn to the darker alternatives.

  • @slumberingsam try hard intellectual fool.

  • Im sorry but im still rockin nikes

  • Let's bet my life if that they cancel NIKE sweatshops the people starve to death due to the fact they won't get paid.

  • lol @ fuckin hippies- "make a boycott sign" why dont you go take a crap in the community compost pile while your at it

  • It's not irony; it's reason. That is why they cancelled the order. Would McDonald's want their chip packets to say 'Makes you fat alarmingly fast'?

  • these people act as if nike is the only company in the world that gets there products done in china. it's sad that they get paid low and i understand what your saying. but other american company's do it as well. you can;t blame nike, blame the owner of the sweatshop who agrees to do what nike wants. he knows that if he says no, then nike won't give him any business. if nike sneakers were made in america they would cost 600 bucks retail. think about it.

  • Boycott NIke.

Buy New Balance 25% of their stuff is made in the USA.

  • @MsZeitgeist85 no wonder they all look like shit

  • @MsZeitgeist85 There are sweatshops in the USA too.

  • i stil fck wit nike lol

  • This is the main reason our countries manufactures have left "its all about greed". Anyone that condones this type of labor needs to spend 2 weeks in one of these sweat shops and tell all others how much fun you had making 2 bucks a day. Becuase products are cheaper today our countries people have become a throw away population rather than try to repair anything just pitch it. It makes me sick for people to condone their guilt by saying well at least these used and abused people have a job. BUNK

  • youtube.com/watch?v=TQg2uVwvElc

    nytimes.com/2009/01/15/opinion/15kristof.html

educate yourself. Sweatshops actually help the poorest countries. To americans, sweat shops seem dreadful, but the alternatives are so much worse for these people: prostituation, living in garbage dumps and collecting plastics for 5 cents, working on dangerous construction sites.

  • @AnnaMichni - I kind of see where you are coming from to a degree but no, its exploitation. There are many many other factors you are leaving out.

Fuck capitalism.....and I'm not a socialist, communist etc

People can try to rationalise to themselves all they want that this is okay but you are wrong plain and simple and should probably go back to the heard.

  • @TheCosmicGypsies

What Anna says is true; I admit, hving them live in these conditions isn't ideal, BUT there's a lot worst jobs out there than this. - I've travelled the world a lot and have seen kids cleaning sewers filled with human waste, with no adequete protection, clothing, breathing apparatus or such. This, working in a 'sweat shop' would be a dream.

You Sir, CosmicGypsies, you are the meaning of 'the heard'. Probally Christian, and if you are; you're arguement isn't valid.

  • i stopped buying Nike years ago - i now purchase New Balance, they are 70% US made.... the most 'fair' I could find on the market.

  • I would just like to thank all of the sweatshop workers for making me some damn good shoes! Keep up the great work!!

  • considering nike doesn't employ these people, they can't be blamed for this. Do you realize that a value for a dollar there is way different to our value? Don't be ignorant.

  • NIke is not making children work u stupid people. NIKe is creating jobs and making families have more money. If you all boycot nike or other big brands people working in this factories will loose their job and then they will die from stavation.

  • @TheInventorL Wrong. You are wrong. Nike is creating slavery for forin nations while we in America are in unemployment. Don't bullshit yourself thinking that Nike is a good company, you are clearly losing any sense of reason.

  • @Pingascore well that slavery is creating jobs dont u think?

  • Holy hell. Phil Knight is a terrible person... That makes me sick to my stomach knowing that a god damned db like him is worth so much money when he doesn't deserve one single penny of it. Honestly, he should rot in hell for treating those workers like slaves... I am absolutely disgusted by this sick sick man; f*ucking capitalists.

  • @beckymansen I am currently writing a novel about a near future where the owners of Coke, Walmart, Nike, and BP are assassinated by a mysterious man and a detective tries to stop him.

  • at least the sweatshops are employing people who'd otherwise be working elsewhere with similar pay. Just because it costs $5 to make doesnt mean they cant mark it up , alot of the pricing is got to do with the brand otherwise you can buy any other no brand for $10

  • If the people who care about this stuff weren't normally such pacifists this shit would be ended by now, because the people responsible would be long dead.

  • To those that say: "that's life." Would you trade your comfortable life to live like these workers? That's life? Who's life are you talking about? Certainly not yours. You wretched fools! But hey, keep thinking that the designer label crap you buy defines you.

  • You're a fucking stupid cunt, okay?

You ain't got shit here against Nike. What you do have is the deaths of 1.5 million Vietnamese civilians on your fucking hands and you're gonna arc up cause Nike is giving these guys jobs?

You seen what the inside of a fucking call center looks like in many countries, including the UK, United States, Australia and India? At least these guys making shoes have the space to move around and shit AND they don't fucking HAVE to be there, they can leave.

  • @ScruffyRanger So are you mad? Why did you click on this video? People like you make me sick, you all(ass wholes) make an account on youtube and go around watching so called "bad videos" and then preach on them. If you don't like this video you didn't have to click here. Plain and simple.

  • sad. but thats how life is.

  • You do know how much it costs to live in SE Asia right? And yes, some of their shops are in poor conditions because they are old buildings and the countries have different codes to follow regarding maintenance, but others are just like factories here.

  • All I know is I can work a full day, and I can't afford a hotel room for a night in Toronto. I also know that I can afford accomodations in Thailand for $2 (no aircon)-$10 or rent a 3 bedroom house in a gated community for $70/mth. I also know I can buy a FULL meal for 2 people on $3, or eat at a fancy floating river restaurant with a personal waitor for less than $25 (3 people, 3 courses plus booze).

  • I read an article some months ago about sweatshops in China and I was suprised how many Chinese people posted responses saying that it was a decent job and they could afford to support themselves on it. It also seemed that most of the workers were students. It seemed to me that it's just like shit jobs here. If you don't have the education or a good job, it sucks, but you don't hear people saying minimum wage factory jobs are sweatshops here.

  • Dude... Foo Fighters Suck... Just thought you should know

  • Yeah boycott Nike shoes, make the demand for them plummet, then those poor "exploited" workers will lose their job and have to go back to begging and or another job that was much worse and paid less.

  • wow another video with good potential, yet completely turned to shit by an awful song choice.

  • Jesus christ people it's life get over it.

    Im still buying nikes.

  • GOOD VIDEO FRIEND!

  • i love nike what ever you say lol!!!the whole world works like that you learned now??lol

  • Boycott Nike... then there will be less orders for shoes so those sweatshops will go out of business, then all those people working in bad conditions for $2.46 per day will now have no income and no means to buy food.

(by the way...the world bank says that 60% of the world lives on less than $2 per day. So they are actually making a little bit more.

  • it's not about that... Look up the benefits American Apparel gives it's "sweatshop" workers. They've got good jobs, by OUR standards. Then look at Nike's. It's disgusting. Execs and CEOs are living the high life because they're paying Asian peasants just enough to keep them alive and working.

  • sad state of affairs in america, look yourselves in the mirror, people abust to make some ghetto ass shoes, stupid shit, this is why america is fucked, the federal reserve is stealing from america, the government is in bed with then, they are taking all your pay, and you worry about having some fly shoes that are made for fucking five bucks, sick and sad,

america we deserve what happens to, unless you wake the fuck up, freedom is not free, end the fed, the wars, and rights violations

  • Sorry to tell you this... All big business are the same. Wake up you sleeping fools.
