I guess after throwing your hat on to the ice to celebrate the player's hat trick, you won't be able to get your hat back. With the high price of hats these days, I'm not sure if I want to lose my hat. But it looks like many other fans are willing to part with their hats.
Yeah, but it was Fan Apreciation Day, and 17,000 fans had free hats. The video doesn't continue on, but the ice was almost completely black because almost everyone threw their hats. It was crazy!!
I was sitting right behind Belfour when this happened. Even though the Sharks lost in over time, that was one of the best games I've ever been to. Thanks for posting this!

THe game was over for the most part, and a whole row of a-holes stood up in front of me. I called them traitors and to sit down, one guy gave me the finger. Ricci then tied the game and all these hosers ran back down the stairs, missing a Sharks miracle. NEVER leave a game early.
I was there that night! 1st hockey game. now when I see a hat trick I think, where the fuck are the hats!?
