@nonthiestnc The first cause is necessarily self existing. Either energy and matter made themselves or God made himself. We know as a scientific fact that matter and energy cannot make themselves yet they exist and hence we have a paradox that requires a supernatural event since self existence is not natural. There is nothing paradoxical about a deity possessing the attribute of self existence. God is self existent. That is your answer. less of a paradox than self existent matter

interesting review of their book. i get the same satisfaction of unexpected enjoyment but without some sky wizards plan or ambush, as they state. i love the outdoors and dont take the beauty around me for granted. istnt that enough.

@nonthiestnc Well, the sky wizard is more likely than life emerging from non life or all the energy and matter in the universe coming from nothing (both instances are against all observable science) These individuals have a very well studied and reasoned faith that requires less "blind faith" than big bang cosmology and evolution.

hello atlas: i do not discuss faith. faith is what you try to understand whats obvious no one knows. it stays between your ears. i appreciate whats around me everyday. i dont need to say someone created this for me

@nonthiestnc except your faith in the idea that life came from non-life, energy and matter made themselves, and evolution has resulted in entirely new species emerging despite the fact that it has never been observed. Not to mention your faith in the scientific method to render reality despite the fact that the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and relativity tell you your senses may be fooled if not poisoning to that which you observe.
