  • ...and here's another "slow dance" song. Thank you.

  • Is that a British issue EP, or a foreign/export single with picture sleeve?

  • Want to dance Judas Priest!

  • This is the original version with the Chantones in the background.

  • I met him once when I was a teen living in Michigan! LONG time ago... :) He was singing in a little club in Detroit!

  • Great voice.

  • oh wow? i like this :)

  • A great song from a great and ledgendary singer and the pride and joy of Hazel Park, Michigan Jack Scott pretty much took the Detroit sound far ahead of It's time and Berry Gordie credits Jack with the help of launching Motown by putting Detroit on the map a great song from the spring of 1960 Jack still performs In the Detroit Area and lives In Sterling Heights, Michigan way to go Jack this fellow Detroiter thinks your the best by far!

  • great song i really like it.

  • Ha ha mrblowhard2U You don't want to go back there again once is enough.

Great song.If they'd play that to-day I may listen to the radio again.

  • tHANKYOU FOR POSTIN' THIS SONG. iT'S NOT THE BEST CHOICE OF WORDS BUT THEN AGAIN IT'S NOT AS MUCH A BROKEN HEARTED MELODY AS IT IS HOPING & PRAYING FOR ONES RETURN, iT'S SAD NEVER THE LESS! . i COULD LISTEN TO THIS GUY FOR AN OVER HOUR & THAT GOES FOR MOST OF HIS TOP 40 HITS. tHX AGAIN!

  • actually jack is a rocker but country fans loved his sound also. guess thats why they call it rock-a-billy!? duhhhhhhh.

  • A Top 5 hit for Jack Scott in February 1960.

  • @mkl62 As I mentioned in the description to this video. :)

  • @TheLimePopsicle #7 on the R&B charts. It just goes to show you that music knows no boundaries. Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Paul Anka all topped the R&B charts in the Rock Era.

  • @mkl62 Indeed, I think that was possibly more true in the '50's and '60's. People were not afraid to listen to whatever music they enjoyed not simply what they were conditioned or told to like, or what was "cool". I also think people possibly had wider musical tastes back then.

  • @TheLimePopsicle Several hits have been crossovers. The big thing today, IMO, is the change in Country & Western. Some of these C&W songs sound like Rock and Roll. My uncle played the guitar in several local country cover bands back in the day and he is the first to tell me that he doesn't like what they call Country Music today.

  • @mkl62 Yes, I love old country music, but country today is a lot different.

  • oh my goodness.i cant believe its really him.i got the priviledge of meeting him.i sang on stage with him.i hadnt heard this song until i was playing cribbage with don and he put the record on,and we sang and played cards.thankyou very much for posting.you have brought a flood of memories back to me.and for tha i send you my good wishes and hugs.please keep posting.the world is a better place with you in it.
