I moved to CA and everyone has an overpriced beemer. Glad I got the new 5.0 stang instead. @4MATICbenz The cost of the 5.0 isn't about build quality. I'm not sure if you've driven a late-model Ford anything instead of just sitting in one but they're all solid vehicles, trucks and all. Great feel through the steering wheel and pedals, clean looks both inside and out, and a new engine lineup that is shocking. The 3.7 v6 (305hp/31 mpg, a first in histroy) and the 5.0 v8 are rev-monsters that pull hard and get great fuel economy. The cost is about efficiency in production.
@SirKowalski666 , the most recent late model Ford I had experience was a Mustang V6 rental a few monthes back. I spent about a week with the car and I agree it felt well put together but there were definitely some things that raised an eyebrow. The amount of huge gaps and spaces in the folding top mechanism behind the rear headrests, the rock hard plastics of the dash and doors, and the somewhat junky door slam noise. Still a great car with great engines, just that there is a quality difference

I actually do find the Mustang 5.0 to be a fascinating car and believe me: I would love to drive a V8! It's just that it is not a very practical car to spend 40.000 km on a german highway each year, most of the time in speed ranges that you guys only reach on a racetrack. @2URBO2 My 04 GT has no noises besides the extremely loud exhaust and the interior is not falling apart and it has nearly 100K on it. Yet I've seen many with BMW's as old as my Mustang in which they are falling apart.

This axle has differential in center of it. You can see it quite well on some trucks too on rear axles, if you look under the truck / car you can see in the center of the axle "oval." That is differential.
With this axle car lose on acceleration and handling in curves.
@fhlh Everybody who know something about Mustangs or other cars know this fact that the Mustang has really old type of rear axle, I bet you dont know this...
The wheels are connected by 1 solid rear axle, on most new cars the rear end is independent suspension so what one wheel feels over a bump the other one wont if it doesn't go over it, in a live rear axle car both wheels are effected no matter what.
@shehri4life please do not listen to peiewi he knows nothing about cars at all. A LRA is old tech true enough but it does have clear benifits. The LRA is much lighter, stronger, and cheaper than a IRA (independant rear suspension). In general, a LRA will be more of a handful over rough pavement but on a smooth surface with a good Limited slip differential the Live rear axle looses nothing to an IRA system. The mustang outcorners IRS equipped camaros and challengers all day long.

First of all the z4 in the video does not look like the 35is judging by the interior second were comparing two entirely different classes of cars the mustang is a 5.0 naturally aspirated V8 producing 412BHP with 390 ft of torque the Z4 35Is is a twin turbo 3.0L straight 6 producing 335 BHP n 332 ft of torque the mustang has a bigger engine and its a different class of car it is not a roadster HOW ever when compared to the 2008 BMW M3 Vs the 2011 mustang 5.0 the mustang falls short so S my D

@shehri4life I dont know much about it, but I know its really really ancient type of axle. It was most used in 60's
This axle has differential in center of it. You can see it quite well on some trucks too on rear axles, if you look under the truck / car you can see in the center of the axle "oval." That is differential.
With this axle car lose on acceleration and handling in curves.

The wheels are connected by 1 solid rear axle, on most new cars the rear end is independent suspension so what one wheel feels over a bump the other one wont if it doesn't go over it, in a live rear axle car both wheels are effected no matter what.

@shehri4life please do not listen to peiewi he knows nothing about cars at all. A LRA is old tech true enough but it does have clear benifits. The LRA is much lighter, stronger, and cheaper than a IRA (independant rear suspension). In general, a LRA will be more of a handful over rough pavement but on a smooth surface with a good Limited slip differential the Live rear axle looses nothing to an IRA system. The mustang outcorners IRS equipped camaros and challengers all day long.
