  • I like ur voice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha ben wut up wit da voice change?

  • Wanted to go to bed early but first I need to figure this out.....This was really a great help, thank you!

  • is that really your voice? helpful lesson tho

  • oh god!

    you`re a god!

  • My shuffle doesnt quite sound like this are you supposed to accent on the last hit of the triplet on the hi hat...1 and A or is it 1 and a

  • its 1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a... jus listen 2 the begginning again.... ull get it....

  • I love your voice!! It reminds me of Kermit the Frog!! :) thanks for the lesson I'll be practicing this like crazy

  • Me too! But great lesson!

  • lol, skills tho

  • Very good video my friend. Best on the net hands down! The end fill was a disgusting auditory masterpiece completely saturated in funk... loved it.

  • great vid man... best expaination i've found crystal clear

  • thanks a lot i was having trouble with this beat and the vid cleared everything up.

  • i love your voice

  • Nicely explained. Very easy to follow. Well done.

  • Marvin the martian !

  • Nice. I kinda suspect you're consciously trying to channel the Swedish Chef character from the Muppets, but uh, I feel like I actually learned something. Thanks.

  • Really impressive, thank you for the clear explanation. How are you playing what sounds like a 4 stroke roll at 2.18? 2kicks 1 tom 1 snare? Sounds fabulous.

  • yes !! 2 kicks (double padal in this video), 1 tom and 1 snare!

  • is it the same thing to play sixlets and accent in the right place? theres no double sticking in it this way....

  • hey, it's adam, i'm marching with carlos next year

  • he must of got bullied

  • so this is what kermit the frog does now

  • clearly explained! haha

i agree on the 1-tree-plet 2-blahh.. being troublesome =D cheers

  • so theres a ghost note on the snare right after the accent?! this is madness. ive been trying to wrap my brain arround this groove for like 4 months but cant seem to get it.

  • DADADADA

  • Very helpful. Just one critiqie.

You describe triplets as counted...One-Trip-Let, Two-Trip-Let..but switched to counting your triplets as One-And-Ah, Two-And-Ah...

confusing to an amateur trying to follow along.

  • Yes, But at 40 sec I explain why I do this cause saying One-Trip-Let, Two-Trip-Let...etc is a mouthful!!! Thanks and enjoy

  • Hey bro, Can i ask what sanre your using?

Btw thanks for the lession, kick ass x

  • 10x mate 4 da lesson

  • if that's your real voice, it's a damn good thing you're a good drummer.

  • is that voice serious??

  • no. in real life he talks nothing like that.

  • I never knew kermit the frog could drum...

  • Kermit is an honorary member of the Froggpond1

  • jajaja rare voice

  • There's no way you actually talk like that dude!!! That's insane!!

  • hahah

  • he doesn't.

  • haha listen to kermit say triplet hahah pissing my pants

  • i think its played too fast....how do you accent the snare on beat three when that beat falls on the hihat???

  • i think it was just fine annnd u need to learn to count i guess cuz hi hat is played with snare on three dumb shit thats how u play drums??? snare and hi hat on 3 is the standard for all beats

  • who the fuk are u calling a dumb shit???it was a question knobhead.....iv seen other instruction videos and they are far easier than this....shithead

  • im calling you a dumbshit lol cuz u cant count to four and just cuz u dont understand the video that doesnt meen he played to fast he slowed it waaay down for ya

  • i can count to four dumb ass..stop being knob...your comment was fine...but dont so nasty by adding a dumb shit in there....

  • dude thats crazy my name is ben wiseman too and i also play the drums thats really random. i like that beat u got it down tight.

  • did he just sau half-time shovel?!LMAO

    hahahahaha

  • Nice sound quality

  • Good quick video, to the point, and the instructions are easy to understand and put into practice. Keep the voice!

  • THANK YOU!

  • Is that Kermit the Frog drumming? LOL

  • It's KERMIT!!! Great Video though dude.

  • you sound like kermit the frog..or russian gangster, but very well explained.. funny!

  • great drumming. What's with the muppet voice? : )

  • Great Drumming, it sounds like are a Bonham fan ie "Fool in the Rain"

  • thank you very much! this is one of the best videos for learning the half-time shuffle i've seen here on youtube!! thanks

  • You sound like kirmit the frog!!!! hahaha, this was awsome man, great lesson and one of my all time favorite grooves.

  • Excellent groove my man! Can I ask...all ghost are played on the 'trip' of one, trip, let? The on beat three the snare is hit followed by a ghost? So is it 2 snare hits immediately together? so...3 trip let...where the '3' is a beat and the 'trip' a ghost and the 'let' a hi hat? Hope this is clear LOL!?

  • YES!!! You have it, that is correct, beat 3 is the hardest because of the double stroke, Good luck!!

  • real nice grooooooove man i'm gonna go play it now i couldn't play it by ear but once you broke it down its a piece of piss. thanks

  • i can almost play this... but i have trouble with the feel of the ghosts... what makes this half time? because of where the loud snare hits?

  • Hey, what makes it half time is the snare lands on beat 3. If the snare landed on 2,4 it would be a staight ahead pop shuffle. I hope this helps, just play it slow at first while counting triplets then bring it up to speed....Good Luck!!!

  • thanks man, i've finally got it. this has to be one of my favorite grooves.

  • Very helpful!! thanks
