no shit, Dan (John Goodman) played a very good dad. My dad was/is a little different but a nice ass chewing like that would have done my siblings good. I want to be my dad when I have kids but at the same time this man was the ultimate dad.

Yeah, earlier in this episode, when DJ hadn't turned in his math homework for 2 weeks, Roseanne wanted Danny to punish him and all he did was tell DJ to do his homework right when he gets home from school. Roseanne couldn't believe that and told DJ that he's grounded from videogames and tv until he's caught up with his homework. DJ hated her and she said then her work is done. She told Danny that she is so sick of always having to be the one who has to be the bad guy.
