I don't know what to think about the film. I heard Brad Pitt was going to adapt the novel "The Time Traveler's Wife", by Audrey Niffenegger, but it looks he finally mixed it up with that story from F. Scott Fitzgerald. We'll have to wait and watch what comes out from this!

That clock going backwards was supposedly built by this clockmaker who lost his son in WWI (what we saw going in reverse) and wanted to bring him back to life. That is said to be what causes Pitt's backwards aging condition, but why and how it affected him is not fully stated.

His difficult birth kills his mother, and his father abandoned him, as shown in that trailer.

In the short story he is born as a fully grown 70 year old man with all the faculties and thoughts of a 70 year old, and as he go older, but his body got younger, so did his mind in some ways, and others until he was a baby stayed the same age as his true age. Its a wonderful story if you ever want to read it. It is by F. Scott Fitzgerald and is in a book called Tales Of The Jazz Age.

Just a thought..if Benjamin Button was born as an infant (thus 0-1 yr old's body) with facial features of an 85 yr old, wouldn't it be logical for him have a height of an 85 yr old when he has features of a one year old? If the toddler on that last screen is indeed Button as a 1 yr old, that means that he was born an infant, grew up to full height and shrank again drastically to a body of a toddler.
