  • those bells still makes, but not by lme. bombardier makes them, and they cost over 2000$

  • Bombardier makes them nowadays?

Phew, I thought these would became more scarce, as in Finalnd some modern crossings like Spede have electronical bells, rather LME-styled bells, but where did you get the information? eBay, perhaps?

  • @kurvjuh At Banverkets materialservice, you can also find signals and other rail stuff there! =)

  • @InterCitySv But could you at least provide me the link to the website that you're talking about?

  • dear livesteamer, how did you get that bell? where? in a railway museum? I need a answer, please!

  • This bell was given to me by a fellow railfan, and he said that he got this bell from somewhere around city of Turku, but he was not sure about this - that's just what he recalled when I asked for some background information about this bell.

He got it from a level crossing which was just being removed from service. Right now the bell is in storage, and there are few rusted screws that need to be replaced at some point.

  • we hav those in sweden there are lots of em they are at evry controlled railroad crossing.

SWE vi har ju kvar dessa i sverige de sitter ju vid varenda overvakade övergång

  • can you give me a webbsite there i can buy that bell? I LOVE IT!!!

  • Aha! Jollain toisellaki on LME leikkikaluna ;)

  • Sähän voisit tehä tosta herätyskellon itelles ajastin vaa pistorasiaan ja kello valmiiksi soimaan niin sitten aamulla kuulis ping ping ping :D sopis hyvin sulle kun olet junista kiinostunut ja kuvaat ja teet hyviä junavideoita.

  • LiveSteamer, I have couple of questions:

    1. How did you get that bell in your own room?

    2. It's even legal to own such thing in your room for own purposes?

  • You can get these legally from Sweden. ;)

  • Legally from Sweden?

Well, it's useful, but where I can find that L.M. Ericsson company anyway, if I visit sweden somewhere in future?

  • LME makes them no longer.

  • LME does not make them anymore!?

    Oh, man!
