  • i totally love this song and this band, the feeling is so retro!

  • They actually take their name from a dance one would do to 1500s chamber music, in which stilts typically made of crystal (plebeians could only afford stilts of wood) would be mounted by someone dressed as jesus and someone else dressed as mary, whilst they thrashed about, joylessly dividing the room with rope affixed to either set of stilts. This dance regained favor during the French Revolution in a very kitschy, retro way, as famously demonstrated by Napoleon at Waterloo using 2 tent poles.

  • @DamagedApotheosis cool, I didn't know that!

  • This band really reminds me of that midevil celtic band from the 1800's.... what was their name again......... Ahhhh yes, Jesus and Mary Chain

  • Obssesed with this song.

  • Love this song

  • So much good music around just nowadays you gotta find it and word of mouth helps. Ow and youtube.

  • Best band of the 10's?

  • @IggyandtheStardust hahaha no

  • @XenophonZolatta hahaha then who?!?

  • @IggyandtheStardust hmm, im not sure....i guess it would depend on how you would define "best", album/merch/concert sales or talent basically is the question. personally i think talent should be the verdict. who knows, theres a lot of really really talented and crafty musicians out there that we never get to see. its subjective anyway. everyone has their own opinion, i say either Rush or Primus but theres many worth mentioning

  • @XenophonZolatta Rush and Primus are both amazing but I'm talking about new bands

  • @IggyandtheStardust Veronica Falls and Weekend are really good, too.

  • Hellz yeah, Crystal Sluts FTW!

  • just caught myself dribbling to this in a daze. Really, really high.

  • Crystal Stilts. Good music and lousy vocals. Drizzling fuzz over the vocals doesn't make them any better. Already forgotten.

  • @morningwail lol wut

  • we need more cowbell!

    and MORE REVERB.

  • haha...it sounds like he's singing on the opposite side of the warehouse his band is playing in....sounds good tho...:)

  • fantano ftw lol. It's crazy i almost never agree with him on reviews but hes so chill and obviously passionate about music that im just glad to keep getting new things i never heard of.

  • Once again..... ;-))

  • dirtier than my internet history!

  • If you guys like this, check out Outrageous Cherry. Matt Smith has been doing this kind of thing for the last 15+ years. Look up "Corruptable" or "It's Not Rock And Roll (And I Don't Like It)"

  • Efforts here tinge of post-garage, spector, velvets late 70's type pf sound.

  • why do new bands always have to remind people of old dead bands? personally it reminds me of everything that makes me happy about music

  • What are you saying? TOO MUCH REVERB! AAAAARG!

  • @Guitarisforgrins Did I say he is?

  • @Conceicawo

    pretty much...

  • @Guitarisforgrins Ok, I'm sorry. I really thought Cal was an asian dude. Where do you think he's from then?

  • @Conceicawo Canada

  • @Alex703rockstar Wow, do people in Canada really express themselves like Cal?

  • dark and flirty. mmmm

  • I so much love their sweet melancholy...

Reminds me of the 50's, the Jesus and Mary Chain, walking in the night with a tear and a smile...

  • @HalfFullYeah wow, never heard that comparison, u r literally mind blowing!!!!

  • omg you do believe that jesus and mary chain appeared in the 50's? lol

  • @nblBer

    Of course : the 1750's!

The JAMC was in part inspired by old rock n' roll, very old rock n' roll, the one of Voltaire and the French Revolution!

  • @HalfFullYeah

OMG, you seriously think the French Revolution appeared in the 50's?

  • @HalfFullYeah I don't think The Jesus and Mary chain were around in the 50's..I might be wrong but I'm %100 sure I'm right.

  • @killingspiders1 You're funny.

  • joy division comparisons have become ridiculous. one can hear as much jim morrison and velvet underground in this as joy division. this one's a great track btw

  • great track ..

  • Great band! Very Joy Division sounding...

  • @wgueits you think so ?
