  • What a DUMB girl combing her hair when she is inbeween Jan and Dean. If I had been her I would have tired to get Jan in a lip lock......and throw the key away, lol lol lol.

  • Great rare vintage clip. Not American Bandstand, but Dick Clark's other show "The Dick Clark Saturday Night Beechnut Show", Saturday October 29, 1959 at the Little Theatre 240 W 44th St., NYC. Check image #102943693 at GettyImages, com

  • who is that hot blonde?

  • Good song, I give it a big 10!!

  • Were they really Anchor Klankers?

  • One of their better Dore label era single. God bless Jan Berry! He is greatly missed.

  • The girl? How the hell can anyone take their eyes off Jan Berry long enough to notice that bimbo?

  • @nauort23 I dont know if the girl was a bimbo BUT how DARE her be THAT CLOSE to Jan Berry. Of course Dean was cool too. But Jan, wowwwwwww

  • @nauort23 I agree. Jan Berry all the way. But Dean is good too

  • I wonder if the girl is a gilf now.

  • Ahhh what a song!!!

  • You have to remeber they were only teenagers when this came out!!! Incredible

  • What a beauty waiting for the pick up line by the looks of the Video.

  • it's a cover?

  • wow they sure got old but this women is so beautiful wonder what she looks like today

  • This is very cool;-)

  • Wow- that's an actual Jan & Dean performance. Such a loss. Jan does such a great job of keeping Dean's memory alive.

    God bless.

  • Jan is the one that passed away.

  • Dean is alive, Jan passed away.

  • Awsom, I wasen't even born when this came out, but the best. SW

  • Wow, Jan and Dean in their Dore label days. Cool!

  • Fantastic to see a video of a song I've been listening to for all these decades. My trusty J&D CD says it only got to #97 on the Billboard!

  • Great Song!!

  • Ils ont l'air de s'emmerder ces deux cons...

  • This sounds like a song that is on my J&D album: "Jan & Dean with the Soul Surfers"

  • BooBooLane nah im just a huge fan of jan & dean...i do like some stuff from now

  • Brain Wilson of the Beach Boys composed Jan and Dean's first Billboard #1 Surf City!! This prompted Brian's father to beat him up which led to his right ear to be deaf! That's how Godly Brian Wilson talents are my fellow You Tubers!!

  • Brian Wilson co-wrote Surf City with Jan Berry. And Brian was a little boy when his dad bopped him in the ear.

  • @torchkit THAT'S HOW HE LOST SOME OF HIS HEARING.

  • So what happened to them, did he die in the car crash or get severely injured? I only know about these guys through The Beach Boys! I dont really know anything about these fellers, liking the sound though!

  • Jan & Dean fans . . . Please sign the Jan & Dean Box Set Petition, as a public show of support for J&D, if nothing else. Thanks!

that's a little sad; there's a lot of great, non-hip hop stuff. Try Fountains of Wayne and look up the web sites for college radio. try Muhlenberg College and Lehigh University, WMUH, WLVR.

  • i wished i lived in the 60/50's...i wish this is how music was now..and im 15

  • I won't say that everything turned to shit after 11/22/63,but it was the death knell of this kind of music. It was pretty ugly by mid 1968,in more ways then one.

  • before this, i could have never heard jan and dean's early stuff....

  • jan and dean was awesome please get the video 4 jennie lee please!

  • Wierd though, that before Jan suffered the horrible April 1966 car crash, he was recovering from a film/train car accident and in a cast for seven of the eight months prior. (August 1965 to February 1966 when the tv show was shot, Jan still in the cast.)

They were to be in a full length movie. On the first day of the shoot, Jan broke his leg when one of the stunts went wrong. He was hurt along with many other people in the film. Dean, thankfully, was not injured.

  • If you think this is wonderful....and it IS....you should see the 1/2 hour television show Jan and Dean did called "Jan and Dean on the Run"....it was a pilot and was accepted to be aired in the fall of 1966. However, Jan suffered the severe car accident in April of '66, so it could not happen.

  • Don't ask-but Dick Clark is seen. WOW-these videos are not on the video that even J&D put out -very rare-especially because besides Baby Talk the others were not hits. Thank you!

  • Yet another rarity. Where do you find these things? Thanks!

  • Jan & Dean invented the " bomp bomp bomp " sound. They put the " bomp in the bomp doo wop doo wop "
