Ive owned 250r's anda zilla. The bottom line is this people; If the 250 is not worn out and the riders weigh the same and have the same riding skill, the 250 should win! 2 strokes have twice the amount of power as a 4 stroke due to it only has 2 strokes. The problem is they die twice as quick and burn oil with fuel which causes them to run hotter which decreases life aswell. 4 strokes are becoming faster and also last much longer without maintenance and run cleaner and cooler. they both have there good and bad qualities.

A two stroke has a hard hitting strong powerband that'll scare the shit out of any 4 stroke guru. if you seriously think that a 4 stroke is better your a fucking idiot cuz a 4 stroke needs more than double the cc's to keep up. my 86 250r would embarrass that craptor. it used to be that only top dollar bikes would somke me but now that the new 450s are out i actualy have something challenging to race. and it sounded like that guy was pedaling that shit. either that or he wasnt powershifting.

some people here are fucking morons, some of you should read a book or ride a bike, 2 strokes are racing machines, it was close to a 4 stroke that was almost 3 times the displcement, and cars aren't 2 strokes for thhat reason they are fast but need to be rebuilt every 30 hours. anyone that honestly has a belief that 4 strokes are faster should go look at a snowmobile drag race, 600 2 stroke but is does a quater of a mile in 13 seconds, faster then any stock car. morons

I dont no aboat that. the 250 4 stroke dirt bike motors are pumping out like med 30 hp range now. the 250r is only in the low 30 range stock well the banshee is like low 40s at 350cc and twin cylinder. plus the 4 strokes have more low end. just look at the old lt500 quadzilla, u can take a yfz yamaha 450 slap a med cam in it and walk all over the zilla and its still 50 cc smaller

apparantly we all read magazines.. bench racing is fun, but know your facts. machines are adapted for racing by the rider, a 250r is fast, i have one, but i have lost to 450r and utility quads in woods. not drags, not ice, track.. even... so know before you yap jack..

2 strokes have twice the amount of power as a 4 stroke due to it only has 2 strokes. The problem is they die twice as quick and burn oil with fuel which causes them to run hotter which decreases life aswell. 4 strokes are becoming faster and also last much longer without maintenance and run cleaner and cooler. they both have there good and bad qualities.

if this is true, why are all sport street bikes 4 stroke and the highest hp to cube is a top fuel hemi thats 4 stroke making more then 6000hp at 500 cubes or less. fact is 2 strokes can build top end but cant build nothing on the way up. and 4 strokes always have more trq

Top fuel dragsters have about 15 hp per cubic inch with 500ci and 7500hp that's the extreme 4 stroke. The extreme 2 stroke would be a OS EB bridges modified 12tz 5 port RC car motor with .12ci it makes 2.1hp that's 17.5hp per cubic inch and the 2 stroke is naturally aspirated.

how about your quadzilla vs a predator. my buddy has one, and he beat the quadzilla. That is 500 2 stroke vs 500 4 stroke. I didn't see the race, but 3 other people I know did, and the predator smoked the quadzilla.

wit dirt bikes i got a cr85r 2 stroke and one of my buddies got a 230 4 stroke and i blow it away in a drag so that shows wat r faster and to keep up wit my 85 ud need a 150r 4 stroke racing bike witch is about twice the size so that shows wat r faster the fastest 4 stroke dirt bike is a 450 and they make a 500 2 stroke so wat do u think is faster and a 500 2 stroke will beat ne fourwheeler 2 or 4 stroke

High maintenance my ass!! Mixing the gas big whoop. four strokes need the oil changed. valve lash adjusted, cam chain tightened, And a 4 stroke is boring to ride it has no power band. A two stroke has a hard hitting strong powerband that'll scare the shit out of any 4 stroke guru. if you seriously think that a 4 stroke is better your a fucking idiot cuz a 4 stroke needs more than double the cc's to keep up. Its like comparing a crotch rocket to a harley.

And one more thing you can buy a banshee for 4000-5000 used that will eat any 4stroke made ..which will cost over 7000 grand. For bikes that are so much i dont see the hype. I have driven a couple 450s and they are fast and ride nice, but if you want the best bang for your buck in drags . Banshee all the way

ive had 2 lt250rs both had major engine work. 89 was bored .80 over and had a pipe and prodesign head. 86 was ported, polished and had reeds and a pipe. My pred aint no raptor 700 but i can hand those 2 strokes there asses. banshees aint nothing until you spend $1000 in engine parts. my 2 cents
