Great stuff and especially this song (dog hill). I'd love to "sit" in with you sometime, who knows maybe on my way to Letterman. If you are ever in CA you can stay in my house anytime, Love Pup
I dont know everything about Zydeco except that i love it,.. But this sounds like you combine Buckwheat Zydeco and Boozoo Chavis? Or am i totaly of track?
I love this clip because it symbolizes creoles of southeastern louisiana and southwestern louisiana merging together. The reason I say this is because the gentleman on the rhythm guitar is D'Jalma Garnier a New Orleans creole. My grandma's people are of partial creole heritage but they are originaly from New Orleans but it was a creole lady from a well known musical family in Southwestern Louisiana who first exposed me to creole culture.
Dog Hill, Louisiana Yeah you right

Boozoo was my cousin. I was quite a bit younger but i remember him playing. I grew up in Dog Hill and had alot of fun growing up there.

Thank you for posting this. My grandmother played this music (LaLa) all the time and it was in Broken French (Creole). Her name was Mary Broussard.
