  • I always enjoy visiting there. It's so much fun!

  • Be wary when parking there. There has been a wave of smashed windows and items stolen from cars. Do not leave your car unattended -- do not leave valuables in the car. It is better to find another spot to park and then walk there.

  • Bucks county does neglect its parks. I have seen most of the Hemlocks in Ringing Rocks die and fall. High Rocks in my back yard, was gifted with many acres of land and historic buildings in mint condition, now just rotting away. Enjoy whats left.

  • Opus all the photo's are mine, maybe I should have shown the photo of me near the edge of an ice crevice. Ringing Rocks as its my favorite place to go after rain storms or heavy snows. I have the place to myself and my significant other. Falling thru a ice a few times is not at problem.........its shallow at the bottom of the waterfall.

  • This camera person was incredibly stoned. That is the worst camera work I have ever fucking seen.

  • @j0phus LOL "stoned" get it?!?!?

  • @WhollyGhost I was high when I wrote that and totally didn't catch the pun. lol

  • AWESOME ! What, you had the rocks with those pitches that close together ? I am 48 and when I was around 9,our cub scouts took us camping there. NICE. I only remember I hurt my hand between two pieces of firewood, and froze my butt off in a pop up trailer ! HOWEVER,thanx for sharing,I was looking for Air Cond. Co. in Bucks county and your video came up.

  • This park is magical in the cold misty mornings of Spring. My favorite times are after a heavy snowstorm of at least 15inches. Frozen falls are the most beautiiful.

  • @Anon5K That sounds really romantic, but unreasonable. I live in a lake effect snow belt off Lake Michigan and I don't even know if I could get my car into the park with that much FRESH snow, much less make it down the beach, and onto the ice. That stuff would be up to my knees. I feel like you've never actually seen what you're talking about, but I really hope I'm fucking wrong.

  • You might be interested that you are re- enacting a scene that we are now discovering took place in many similar sites over much of the world.

From Sudan to Scandinavia "Rock Gongs" are rapidly being discovered. In use for many thousands of years indicated by their wear patterns.

Keep a look out wherever you are.

  • Bucks County Parks are crappy, run down and just plain boring. Spend your travel dollars elswhere.

  • @goAHEADnJUMP Go off the beaten path and youll find some gems. Yeah there is lack of funding to keep the parks pristine but hey thats nature, its beautiful by itself.

  • They ring due to high levels of iron and magnesium which are metals.

Metals ring, which is why they ring, went there today on a class fieldtrip

  • Better visit this place soon Bucks County courts are giving builders permission to do whatever they want. Just a matter of time before it's surrounded by homes and business.

  • it produces sound like Gamelan

  • I went there wen I was around 10 which is 23 years ago. I remember to the day of how cool it is, there is nothing else really like it, its a mystery why they ring. I only live 20 minutes from there may have to check it out again.

  • This is beautiful!!

  • fuckin hippies...

  • Physical Erosion !!!

  • Ha ha, it kind of does! I never thought of that!

  • Cool we had a field trip to that place for my Environmental Earth Science class today. I didn't have a hammer, but it was tons of fun running through the jagged and oddly shaped rocks lol

  • Very nice understanding of Geology, I wish I could grasp it. No idea why its not sticking. I blaim the instructor, but thats cheep.

Anyway, yeah, gj in the info section.

  • this place is awesome to go to visit. I live in NJ, about 30 minutes away. The rocks ring, they have iron and alumnium in thier compostion, causing them to ring. If you live hiking there are nice trails, and a 30 foot waterfall. Highly recommended!

  • that is not the reason they ring.

  • Took my wife there once, when we were first married. She'd never been there. There was a group of tourists there and the one guy had a cup of coffee in his hand and the expression on his face was priceless. It said: WTF are we doing here, again?

    Exactly !

  • been there done that ,and ever time i go i see a group of screwed up hippies or whatever sittin in a circle and tryin to make "music"........ heavy drugs man..... i think they live under the rock here. dont let them talk you into joinin their cult ..... beware.......

  • Hey, if they're having a good time playing "music" or whatever, more power to 'em. "Been there done that", ha ha!!!

  • so cool.. thats "Diabase Rock" from vulcanic substance, sound like Gamelan from Indonesia :)

  • that is sooooo cool.... I wish I could do that someday :(

  • Rock 'till you drop.

  • What is this? A rock concert? LOL

  • now thats funny

  • i gotta do that one day!

  • Sounds like the Smithy of the Dwarves from Der Rhinegold.

  • i li9ve about ten minutes away from riging rocks ,you now reiglsville

  • Whoa, you're talking about molecular vibration or something? I mean.... yeah, I guess, but the rhythm we're playing we're just making up, by using the weird tonal properties of the rocks as an instrument.

But yeah it was a good day, and I'm glad it could make you feel good to see it!

  • a little bit strange but i gues rocks have a rythm yea know that every thing is vibrating at difernt speeds??? cool looks like a happy day made me feel goodcheers m8

  • very nice park, dont wear flip flops.

  • hippies

  • I guess I won't argue with that.

  • yea right! like you wouldn't have been beating on the rocks too.

It doesn't take a hippie to enjoy life and nature.

  • wow what a coincidence... i came across this video again randomly a day or two ago, then somebody replies. yeah it does look kinda cool, and it has the familiar sound of aluminum, which i work with on a regular basis. i might have to check that place out sometime and see the waterfall too. btw... i didn't mean "hippies" in a bad way.

  • Glad to hear that about "hippies" not in a bad way, I'm fit to be tied, when folks go about calling anything that isn't "Beverly Hills" or "reality tv" as being "hippy", dang pretty soon it will be outlawed to put out a bird feeder, yet I know enough about human nature to know that even the staunchest would completely have to hit at least one rock. Me, I like musical instruments (though I don't play well), so I'd be the biggest kid there, trying to play a song.

  • ...folks go about calling anything that isn't "Beverly Hills" or "reality tv" as being "hippy"...

  • ?? Ok so I have a southern accent, and bad grammar, my mom would drop dead, she tried.

  • pot make everything fun

  • It was fun, but none of us were smoking pot... I can't even smoke pot, it's nauseating to me.

  • this is very cool. the sonata for stones and hammers.
