  • You sir, are an idiot, DON'T EVER REV A COLD ENGINE!

  • buddy ur car is a cop car

  • redline to blow up your grammas old low mile taurus, cause it didnt warm up

  • worst thing you can do to a ice cold engine especially if not started often... your asking for engine problems... believe me mine needs a new computer and it only has 82000 on it...

  • cant rev it when its still cold stupid

  • =( today my dad about bought one and could have fixed for 500$ but the customer decided to keep it =(

  • let her warm up before reving it, reving a cold motor can destroy the rod and crank bearings

  • Man! My 2000 Mercury Sable starts worse than that after a day of sitting! Then again mine DOES have 116,000 miles.. haha.

  • he had his foot on the accelerater when he started it

  • I know.

  • Thats how many miles i have on my 2007 truck

  • I was told not to do that with a cold engine...

  • you were told right.

  • you sound like davesfarm

  • thanks man!

  • yea your right he does sound like him.

  • how many miles now?

  • 28,628

  • Hello!

In regards to this car, I had noticed some of the warning lights: There is fasten belts, volts, brake, airbag, and, is there a temperature warning light or is there just a temperature gauge. Also, where are the oil light and check engine light located?

    -Matt

P.S. I have a 2007 Taurus, and it has those warning lights, but no temp light--just a gauge for that. Plus, mine has a "check fuel cap" light. Where is that light located?

    -Matt

  • I have the same car and mine doesn't have a rev limit on it and it is all stock ???? I have to check it out to make sure I am right

  • it doesnt have a rev limiter in drive but when its park they usaully have a limiter like my duratec wont go over 4k in park but in drive ill hit 6500

  • Yeah I was wrong it limits in park

  • ya it sux i want to take it off

  • sounds like a vulcan

  • PEE ON THE BATTERY

  • you cant make exceptions....they either suck or they dont. to each his own....

  • That engine sounds pretty dirty (I mean that in a good way) when you're revving it. Seems pretty responsive, too. I'm tempted to say Vulcan, based on the sound. Does it have the 24V/DOHC badging on the front fenders, by the doors? Either way, damn nice looking car (Well, dash and other interior, anyway...). Obviously well-kept. My brother's 2000 Taurus has almost 130,000 miles now, and could probably go another 130,000 easily!

"You can always depend on a Ford."

    Amen to that, brotha!

  • Yea that's a vulcan and it hit those high rpm's pretty quickly.

  • is this a duratec or vulcan?

  • duratec i think im not 100% sure

  • wholly smokes that tauri is exquisite condition. I wish my bull looked like that.

  • i know, i hate the rev limit too!

  • nice average family sedan...

  • nice car i want it oly 25k wow, does she want to sell?

  • lol if she was going to she said she whant 25,000 for it witch you know is the price of a brand new one. plus she giveing it to me.

  • LUCKY! take good care of that beast! those are great cars!

  • hey my grandma has a mercury sable the same year and its rev limiter is at 6,500 and it is a 24 valve man that thing goes wierd huh

  • you lucky basterd lol i wish mine had the 24 valve.

  • and it is a sable

  • taurus

  • I had an '01 Sable with a Duratec. In park or neutral, it always limited at about 4k. When in drive, however, it's different story. ;) And yeah, I agree, they can move their weight, and then some.

  • what car company do u like for example in your abusive test drive pos "oh yeah that's chevy power" and on this one "that was easy, you can always depend on a ford."

  • i like both GM and Ford the same i cant chose one form the other. but i HATE HATE HATE Toyota Honda Nissan Mazda and all those crappy jap cars. and i like all European cars to.

  • sweet just like me

  • why hate Japanese cars? They are the most reliable cars on the road. And the Corolla is the best selling car on the road.

  • i was never fond of them the only jap car i liked and still like is a subaru and a 280z datsun/nissan

  • Mazda is a Ford product............... lol

  • really that i did not know.

  • Ya our Mazda van has a 2.5L Ford engine in there

  • Ford only has 33% of Mazdas market share.

  • Yuuuuuuuuuuuck, stick to the Pontiacs :)

  • lol i am...it just i ran out of cars so i wanted to try this one. =)

  • You are right, you can always relyon a Ford.

I have 2 94 explorers, one with 172,000 and another with 213,000 miles on them, both with the original motors. I am a Believer. Great videos by the way. I was the same way with my new camera.

  • i know but i only did it for like a sec

  • Its not good to bounce it off the rev limiter when its cold like that. Good way to burn out bottom end bearings.

  • i am said that you are right that fords rule

  • Thats right ford something that you can rely on.

  • it is ture and i like what you said and you can said that to all the fords that you only

  • could you rephrase that. i didn't quite understand it.
