Gohan turned crap because the world entered a period of relative peace and Goku was too dead to drag him into training and fighting, so his mother had full clearance to fulfill her dream of having a lame bookworm son. He was badass for a bookworm, but could you imagine if Goku had survived Cell and kept training Gohan?

Also i believe Toriyama really wanted to end at Cell and was pressured into continuing, hence things taking a downturn and the Kai series ending there.

i love buu saga for being over the top, but it doesn't seem to have the same drive as frieza and cell saga

since gohan's my fav character i was kinda disappointed he got knocked out so quickly

vegito was really the highlight

it was kinda anticlimactic, because they were able to defeat buu unfuzed so yep

i think I'm rather have the blue ray of the original since i know they've cut out some of the blood and stuff

He becomes pretty badass when he get's the Z-saber, and they make you think he's going to save the day again, but noooope.

@blkmattymatt its because gohan didn't train as much since his mom insisted for him to focus on his studies, and there was peace for 7 years before buu came, so he didnt train. He's still a badass even in his aldut like when he unlocks his potential from elder kai aka mystic gohan. In that form he is as strong as SS3 goku. However i admit that he does suck in gt, as he never trains at all in the series.
