  • I don't know what's going on in Austrailia but in the USA there is a lot of momentum right now behind the idea of Ending The War on Drugs, which we all have to admit is does WAY WAY more harm then good, in fact it does NO GOOD at all. Legalize the damn drugs, instantly stops drug crimes, and let people put whatever the fuck they want into their bodies! we don't need a gov't to tell us what we can and can't ingest, whats next? The gov't will decide when and what we eat and drink?!

  • @HerbalJah Australia doesn't really have a war on drugs, in most states Marijuana is decriminalised and in certain states you're allowed to have your own plants, for personal use

If you pushed me for an answer I'd say that the main concern is methamphetamine and meth labs, crackhouses in suburban neighbourhoods

Indonesia has multiple labs pumping out pure pseudoephedrine which winds up in Australia and into methamphetamine. That's probably one of the main concerns in regards to border security

  • @HerbalJah The Australian Government mainly did this to show North Korea that importing tonnes of Heroin isn't on. North Korea is a dictatorship, it's main exports are fake US $100 bills and Heroin, they can make amazing profit margins because it's illegal.

  • I was so sad when I heard that our air force (RAAF) was retiring the F111's and replacing them with Super Hornets...completely different style of plane and purpose.

Even though the F111's may be old they were still magnificent and obviously battle proven.

I remember as a kid one going past, loudest thing I had ever heard in my life, louder than a top fueller running nitromethane...then I saw it dump and burn it's fuel, amazing sight, worlds biggest ZIPPO lighter.

    I love this plane.

  • @Parag0n I know what you mean, switching to the Super Hornet in my opinion was a downgrade. The Super Hornet isn't what this country needs right now or ever for that matter. It's really sad because I'm so close to getting into the RAAF and won't be able to use these planes in action.

  • @Parag0n Yep, and the F-15E or SE would be a much better replacement...

  • AAhhh the trusty ol' F-111

  • crew... :((

  • u aussies should just hire the tampa again

  • Please take note Ms Gillard and high court judges... this is what we should do to boat people... better and cheaper than the malaysia swap deal

    thubs up if you agree

  • @iamkingofthecastle yes that would make them know not to come to australia

  • Civilian cargo ship blown up......why????? Just take the cargo out and keep the ship. Anybody can blow up a cargo ship, even somali pirates. Woo tough guy........

  • @klee642 Mainly because it was unseaworthy... so developed into good PR opportunity. Anybody? Bet you can't!

  • great, now all those fish are gona get hi...

  • Does every other Aussie remember these times? When the government actually stood up to criminals and smugglers...

  • nice shots

  • @Fatalerror300 Dumb shit, read on the Pong Su incident, its a registered North Korean ship

  • @Fatalerror300 obviously a case of "your head is up your arse" do some research dick head.

  • bull's eye!

  • Awesome! let that be a clear message to those bastards that this will not be tolerated. Shame jong il and co. wern't aboard at the time.

  • Those Aussies don't play! This is what should happen to all vessels used for smuggling dope or conducting acts of piracy. And what is it with the North Koreans? Lawless misfits ever which way you look at them. Always trying to stir up some shit wth the South, and now they've lowered themselves down to common drug smuggling. They got what was coming to them. By the way.....great shooting by the guys down at the RAAF........making those F-111s roar.

  • This video actually makes me a bit sad...Why in the fuck did we retire the F-111? :'(

  • Australia shits on Communism

  • 28 people were on that ship. They were so high as a kite that they missed the like button

  • see channel nkwomen and look english version

  • ha ha .... A fighter can´t do it. It was a torpedo training ship and it was Australian. Every time it happens, some dude copy the film and write, Al Qaeda suicide bombers, Somali pirates fart and burn up, china invaded by tibet etc..

  • @MrThundermouth Oh, we have one of those, not (RAN has torpedo recovery vessels only you numnuts).

Oh, I spent 14 years in the Navy.

    Careful what crap you write.

  • Yeah north korea bobbarded south korea with arty shells and 2 solidiers were killed and 10 injured.

  • innocent people died in that ship because of kim jong ill "

  • u wish we could have seen the ship sink

  • Shame to see the F-111 go we really should buy some f-22's or pak-50s instead of this j-35 joint shit fight plane.

  • Hey North Korea, hey kim ya fucking fuckstick, ya dweeby tic tac cock mongoloid, one of your ships failed a float test, and you will do what?

You have no economic clout, zero, like we give a shit about your threats, yawn.

    Team Australia, Fuck Yeah !!!!

  • @KG84C North Korea Bombed South with 200 missiles. 2 people killed 10 injured

  • Lol, A new ad on TV "Don't try to smuggle drugs into Australia, or we'll fuckin nuke your ass!" (then show this clip)

  • Ka-fucking-boom!

  • YEAH AUSTRALIA!! did the crew die or were they arrested and detained? P.S. this is what all law enforcement should do to drug runners... blow thier shit up before it gets smuggled

  • So full of crap....Lol. I saw that video on tv as shown as a bomb run test on an empty ship.

  • YEAH!! So take that!

  • To all those people who say Australia can't defend all its borders, we dont have to. We really only need to defend from QLD-NT border to broome. And Aus greatest advantage is that no military force in the world could successfully occupy us. Not even the mighty USA. Australia is just to big of a country. And I agree we have a shit Navy but our Army is one of the best if not the best trained in the world and we have a very capable weapon in the Steyr AUG. Plus our Air force aint half bad either.

  • @Dylang01 No we actually have a good navy and airforce. We need to have a good navy because we are an island nation. We would be better off having a large air force and navy than a large army, obviously due to the reason above.

  • @Dylang01 Wrong way around, good navy and air force, awesome (but really small) army...

  • @Dylang01 Don't forget that our Country is surrounded by Reef and you can only attack some parts without your ship sinking.

  • its not good to get sharks high.....

  • lol ns

  • take that chinkys

  • It wasn't a FIGHTER it was an F-111 bomber

  • @Masterkimtran

The "F" designation in the name means "fighter." This is due to the F-111's original intent. The F-111B was to be the Navy version, and the famous AIM-54 Phoenix missile was designed specifically for the F-111. This never turned into anything and the F-14 got the job instead. In fact, the F-14 inherited the swing-wings, Phoenix, and AWG9 radar directly from the F-111.

The F-111 was supposed to be a fighter-bomber, but ended its career as a bomber.

  • @rtrThanos Thanks mate, I know quite a bit about the F-111 however I was just referring to what we use them as. Australia has only ever used the F-111 as a bomber thats all. The hornets do all the fighting ;)

  • FAAAArk me.. How many did they kill. was this in Australia or international waters

  • nice to see an F111 getting in a few last shots before retirement.

  • Pretty sure that's how they destroy old ships. Take it into deep ocean and blow it up. It wasn't a drug carrying ship. I'm an Aussie and I don't think our government has the ball to do something like this.

  • great job, kill those terrible north koreans im an australian and support south korea nice kill

  • Australia have army power ? hi hi

  • @luuzann about 100 fighter jets, 54 m1 ahrams tanks, one of the best special forces in the world, strong defensive navy, 24 eurocopters, about 20,000 personal in all 3 fields of miltary

  • @minerofblood

Australian defense force is a piece of overpriced hand me down shit. Don't talk us up we ain't got shit it's embarassing. Our navy is ok but in the end, also modest in size.

  • @Ortheos2006 we have enough for defend our boarders, we're not an offensive side, but we the stuff we have its enough to defend ourselves then rely on allies.

  • Our military has admited that we have the ability to defend 200km of coastline for 2 hours against any serious invasion attempt. We are completely sterile when it comes to self-defense, completely reliant on our US overlords.

  • @Ortheos2006 hows our defence force overpriced, give me examples?

    how is it embarassing?

  • @minerofblood

Numerous acquisitions, recently those helicopters we bought from the Us came with a defect and had to be sent in for 'upgrade', they cost billions plus billions more for the fix.

The collins class subs, as an indigenous product, have been plagued with issues, and we don't even have enough crew for them, out of 6, 4 are sitting rusting at port because not enough crew to operate them.

    Numeours other examples exist.

  • @Ortheos2006 thats true, i went to a navel demo, it seemed good how came in and did a demo assault from the sea by defusing a mine then running up and firing blank bullets around the place then calling in 2 F/A - 18 hornets.

our navy is pretty small, and at that navel base garden island in perth one of the mini subs got stuck at the buttom of the sea, they got the crew out but left it down there

  • @minerofblood Honestly there isn't much to the ADF. Our navy is very small when you consider that out of 6 subs only 1 is operational at anytime, 3 ANZAC Class frigates (some countries call their Meko ships Corvettes!) are on low operational tempo and spend half the year moth balled and our pilots only fly 150 hours a year (as opposed to 1000 in other air forces and civil pilots)。

  • @gnarkillkicksass Remember we spent 25bil on 8 band new subs as well as 100 fighter and other struff and the newest of the new.

  • @Whiting1289 The F-35 is a "Strike" fighter with very limited Air Superiority Capabilities and a limited range. I dunno what the government plans to do with the subs seeing as we only ever have two Collins active at any time due to such massive crew shortages.

  • @gnarkillkicksass they were idiots to make such an expensive purchase of F-35s. Even some australian analysts and military experts said: it would be better of a deal of buying some Sukhoi combinations.

  • Good Job.

  • im surprised north korea didnt even threathed australia. this probably means that north korea is afraid of austalia because if they get into war, we will obviously hepl the australians and north korea would be crushed by us.

  • Idiot people these days trying to smuggle drugs to our precious country what were they thinking?? (monkey playing the tambourine) >>" Losers I tell you, no life at all

  • Out of curiosity, why was an Aircraft called in to destroy the ship? Wasn't it being pursued by a warship(s) of the Australian Navy?

  • @flyboy4692 Nope, it was intercepted and the crew arrested, all drugs removed and the ship handed over to the RAAF to blow up. :)

  • @semtex84 Well that sounds like fun! :D

  • @flyboy4692 Training exercise.

  • @flyboy4692 They had to empty the ship of its crew first before they could take it out.

  • Way to go Australia! Congrats!

  • Dam right as well

    nice one Australia

  • Were there any passenger in that freighter?

  • @VideoUploaderTester pussy cocksucker you fuck your mamas pussy

  • north korea should have sunk american navy ships

  • @anitec19: Gook...

  • @VideoUploaderTester cum guzzler

  • Damn! Here's what happened to my shipment !

  • Dat was a big ship

Musta been a shit load of drugs

Good ting Australians have their own drugs

  • Really? Australian's order drugs by hundreds of tons?

  • A stern lesson for Koreans....

  • good stuff australia! i like your style!

  • This stupid action by Austrians should be condemned in UN.

Even their judge found NOrth Koreans innocent.

  • @dongsoola as opposed to the stupid actions commited by american military personnel everyday on innocent civilians

  • @dongsoola Which judge? The one in Vienna? Afterall you are writing about the mythical Austrian Navy - It's Australia - not Austra (dumb shit) :-)

  • @dongsoola By the way - My spelling mistake was to help foster a spirit of international peace and harmony between us - and also not piss off any Austrians whom I like

  • @dongsoola i agree why were we wasting time, should have sent the jet in first

  • @dongsoola Don't try and act smart if you are too stupid to know the difference between Australia and Austria. If you know so much about this I am surprised your unaware the vessel was sunk EMPTY a whole two years after the trial which actually sent most of the crew to prison for 7 years.

  • I think they call that pavetac .....oh yeah and it works...used to work on these birds,,,,ssgt Troy mckay if ne of you know me give me a shout

  • haha north korea wat a joke

  • Go Austria.

  • @aus2045 Australia you downie

  • @angie7dino you subie

  • @aus2045 what does subie mean ? does it mean legend...perhaps

  • Vote for Nancy Pelosi as the new Dear Great Leader of the DPRK after KiM Jong Il dies. She can help North Korea as much as she has helped the USA. Can she count on your support?

  • agreed i hope they killed much ppl

    because i hate drugs

  • Poor ship. She never did nothing to nobody!

  • "They have no RIGHTS" Sorry. Instead of bombing the ship, I'd cut it up and make something useful out of it, like park benches or tools that could be sent to Africa so the pirates could work rather than loot. If the boat was out in the ocean and running, I would burn the ship for all to see. I suppose it takes at least 6 to 8 hours for a ship to burn and sink. Good clean fun...

  • Gotta' love this baby. I'd sink every pirate ship, drug running ship and illegal vessel in the ocean's of the world. They have no right.

  • this should happen to the boat people tryn to get in

  • LOL now the fish are going to get high

  • @AirCalv ahhahahh

  • australia blew the ship up. i remember seeing the video on the news you idiot

  • It is another plane. It is the designator plane which actually guides the laser bomb. Not all F111s were modified to include the designator system and some still need a designator plane to guide the laser bombs. They probably did it that way to get more personnel involved in the exercise.

  • Im pretty sure all RAAF F111 have the Pavetac designator.

Correct me if I am wrong.

  • Yep, I just watched it again. I am correct.

The footage is taken from the Orion observer aircraft.

The IR footage you see from overhead is from the F111 doing the bombing.

It's taken from the Onboard laser designator.

  • Hi, no - only C and F models. There were reports that there was a designator aircraft on the mission but I can't confirm this of course. Many supposedly "official" reports have conflicting stories. One says 4 F111s were deployed. One says 1, another says 2 F11 Cs so who knows ?

  • Ah ok.

Still I would bet any money they bomber aircraft also did the designating. If you look at the overhead IR footage, the positioning of it clearly suggests that it is from and aircraft that just passed overhead...Ie the one that dropped the bombs.

  • Yes, I think that's correct. They look to make the most out of the exercise and get as many involved as possible. And I should have said that I'm pretty sure it's the C & F models - C ( Australian spec ) model and one other in any case. I expect that all original Aus deliveries would have PAV then, so only other models purchased subsequently would not. I think someone else opted for Aus spec planes ( C model ), but I don't think we purchased and "used" Cs

  • Sorry, I meant to say I don't think we purchaseed ANY "used" Cs. Again this is my recollection and I am prepared to stand corrected. I don't have my books with me as I'm in the middle of a move but I'll check it when I can.

  • Yep, I think you are totally correct.

If I remember rightly though, almost all aircraft we purchased were used for spare parts to keep the original Cs flying. I think all operational RAAF F111s have the Pavetac.

  • They have used some for parts but Gs they bought from the US are in active service. These are the ones without PAVE. Australia has interestingly ( and typically ) developed its own engineering soluion for the wing pivot problem. They now have a much extended life and a much cheaper replacement. That's why many are pushing for their retention. It would be nice to see them stay in the air. They only have months to go under the current plan.

  • I totally agree,

The JSF is an absolutely Sh*t replacement for these, and cannot even come close to providing the same detterent capability.,

With these gone, we will lose a huge power advantage in the region.

JSF as a proper 'bomber'? You have to be kidding.

  • Yes, I think it would be such a shame. They used to fly over my workshop incredibly low as they did passes over Schofields each year. So low you'd think you could jump up and touch them. The current American pilots loved them when they'd see them over here. Amberlie show a year or so ago was right at the same time as some US ? AUS Airforce war games and many of the Americans had never seen the dump and burn. They loved it. Air frame age is a factor of course ( particularly in the Cs )

  • Yeah true.

It sure will be a shame though. They are pure awesome and just ooze power!

    Will be missed indeed.

Regarding Airframe age, well what about the B52s? They are REALLY old and still going strong.

  • I think that's part of the reasoning for replacement. There is a predetermined lifespan for the structure. Why not just build new airframes and continue developing them as our own. How great would that be ? In relation to the cost of new craft, remaking the bodies would be pennies ! They are after all effectively a monocoque with chrome molly bulkheads & high quality alloy skins like duralium & such. I've had race cars built the same way and when badly damaged we can simply build a new "tub"

  • Funk, my personal view on the replacement of the F111 is that the Oz government should push real hard for the F22, *but*, since they are not for FMS, fit the F22 airframe (minus thrust vectoring nozzles) with the avionics and engines of the JSF. That way they would have the superior range, performance and payload of the F22, possibly even improved. I just wish I had a direct phone line to Senator Faulkner MoD to tell him what needs to be done.

  • The JSF's F135 engine is apparently superior to the F119 fitted to the F22, but obviously the JSF is a single engined aircraft and is at a power disadvantage over twin engined jets.

  • @wattlebough

Why would we replace what we basically use as a bomber with a fighter? I agree the F35 isnt as good as the F111 but it will do the job we want better then an F22.

Ideally we should of gotten 70 F22 and 30 of something more like the F111.

  • @chrisdef15 Remember, the F/A-18F's are replacing the F-111's and the F-35A's are replacing the rest of our Hornets.

Yes it would be nice to have Raptors, but even if the US Congress was willing to sell them, we'd only be able to afford perhaps 40 or 50 of them as they cost more both upfront and in the long run due to the exclusivity of their parts.

Don't worry though, the F-35A's and F/A-18F's will do their jobs, I don't see WW3 coming any time soon.

  • @xero993

Not from what ive read, the F35 are going to take both of there job's.

And niether has the range or armament the F111 had, we should of kept developing them i think, something newer would be better but i dont think there is any modern F111 equivelent's.

  • Still think you are wrong :)

  • About what ?

  • That's the spirit!

  • wow that ship just got pwned XP

  • Korean Sailor: Mmmm these noodles so good.

Korean Sailor 2:They are rat intestine!

Korean Sailor: Pfft still taste nice...hey whats the sound.

    (boom)

  • good job!

  • Now that's what I call scuttling.

  • a view from the sattelite is most impressive. you can see how fast it flies! :)

  • Satellite? Its another plane.

  • i mean at 0:16 to 0:24 - if it was a plane the view would be horizontal but it's rotated. at least i think so.

  • Def a plane. Just high above everything.

  • the wiev is from the side. if this plane flies at for example 20 km high it must be about 100 km far away from the ship, during 8 sec the ship got 1,3 times smaller - it means the "plane" flew at least 25 km in 8 seconds (11250 km/h). the second thing: this was a view caught with an infrared camera, and it's not shaking. How can you explain these? i still think that's spy sattelite.

  • Its another f111 get over it.

Your figures on speed and distance mean nothing as your only guessing.

You can clearly see it shake at the end as they change camera angle slightly, and if you think they shake badly i suggest you go watch some other footage from planes. Doesnt really shake at all if weather is good.

Even the clips of the ac130's firing at things dont shake a huge amount and they are firing a 105mm gun from it.

  • Another impressive victory in the Glorious War on Drugs!

  • lol owned

  • All of the fish around that wreck must be stoned out of their minds - Aquatic Woodstock!

  • GETCHA' SUM!!!!!!!!!

  • After being caught trying to smuggle drugs into Australia the Pong Su was sunk by two 2000-pound (900 kg) laser-guided bombs dropped from an RAAF F-111 aircraft. The deliberate destruction of the freighter was said to deliver a strong message to international drug smuggling rings that the Australian Federal Government would take all measures necessary to stop illegal drug importation.

  • how did they know that they had drugs onboard and wouldnt that be difficult since its fom north korea, and dont tell me all communist countries are drug smuglers

  • They caught them in port jailed the crew then towed the ship out to sea and used it as target practice.

  • Obviously...and safely removed the drugs before stomping her :)

  • time to snort up some sea!

  • BL s0n

    PRAC UP NK

    L2 smuggle drugs

  • go skippy agents of destruction!

  • If you look at the details of this incident in wikepedia. All North Korean crew were tried in Austria and proven innocent.

This is another propaganda that makes NK look like drug dealing country.

  • Tried in Austria? Hmm funny seeing as the boat was caught off Sydney harbor which is in AUSTRALIA. What about the three that are serving sentences in Australian prisons they weren't found innocent. You sound even dumber then the North Korean government.

  • Not dumber 'then', it's dumber 'than' you idiot. Shame of Australia.

  • Woops, pity you couldn't pick up a mistake on the rest of my argument, which this is, an argument not a spelling contest.

  • that is my point boy. IT IS NOT A SPELLING CONTEST.

  • THAN don't correct me sweetheart.

  • some of us can spell! that looked like a typing error! lol

  • Thanks, Grammar-Guy! What would we ever do without you?

  • I read wikepeidia. People who were prisoned were NOT North Korean.

All North Korean crew was found not guilty.

But this Austria whatever is blowing North Korean ship. ?

  • You really don't know the difference between Australia and Austria? Get a map dude. They blew it up because it was smuggling drugs to Australia (I'll give you a hint - the one with Kangaroos). It was North Korean owned and the while the men arrested on shore weren't North Korean the crew was and a different 4 (crew from the ship) had charges laid for drug smuggling. They blew it up during military exercises 3 years after it was boarded and detained.

  • @gnarkillkicksass Austria has kangaroos? I'm going to hop on over there.

  • Austria and Australia, hmm, so confusing?

You might want to read more geography and less wikipedia.

They want to push drugs, this is what they get.

North Koreans aren't worth worrying about, they let of the occasional and rarlely succsessful missile for a bit of attention, bet this got their attention !!

  • Hey PikaChop. Are you the most ignorant fucktard to ever post. Did a Canadian guy steal your girl friend or piss in your Cornflakes. And "civilian"??? What's the deal with that????? Are you cop or in the army or something? Cool non-civilian. Two thumbs up you fuckin' douche bag.

Oh and if you ever come to Canada give me a call. I'll meet you at the airport and put you back on a plane. In closing. Fuck yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • Fucking gooks. They spread aids and drugs and violence.

  • LIGHT THE TYRES AND START THE FIRES!

  • Hahaha

    Australians: Pull over

Druggy: Where? Theres no where to pull over

    Australians: Ok guys, plan B

  • Except the ship was empty - and was used in a military exercise.

  • I live in America and think we should adopt Australian anti-drug smuggling techniques. The thing is though, we have so much other crap going on in the economy and international affairs right now that drug problems are a miniscule to the other problems we now face. Once the recession blows over, we should deffinitley be more aggressive.

  • Well they're onto the internal biker drug network now. They've been raiding outlaw biker gangs over the last couple of weeks. They're locking up hell's angels, comancheros & bandidos 50 at a time & while raiding their clubs & drug labs. Then they just walk into the main players' houses & strip them bare. hey commonly find 150 or 200 grand in cash & about as much in drugs. They just take everything, bikes, cars & eventually even the houses ! It's classified as proceeds of crime and sold off.

  • they got the shit blown out of them

  • fuck you dumb cunt
