its hard for him to see how his dream falls into pieces, dont forget about his dad who dedicated his live to achieve his son's dream. Must been horrible to see how his son kneels down and gets back up. I was to young to see it on television i'm born in '91 but as a sprinter i know most of the sprinters before my time. This Video gives me the strength to keep going after i got injured. Thx for uploading this

our head of year showed my year this video today, and i was nearly crying infront of the whole of year nine because i have never seen anything like this. i'm at home watching it again because i can't get over how amazing Derek Redmond is for getting up and finishing the race wihile others would have just given up. inspirational.

It was a very emotional moment and all but, even if he was in pain did he really need his dad to help him finish? Looked like he could have made it by himself even if he was having a little trouble.

I think Derek Redmond felt pain when I think he pulled a muscle or something but then I thought he needed to keep going because that could probably be his last race and he was in it to cross that finish line. And at the end… he felt…  proud.
