Marriott was inbetween the towers & it didnt collapse. WTC 5 and 6 were closer than 7. They didnt collapse. The big black hotel to east was as far as WTC 7 and it didnt collapse. On top of that, there is video shot from the New Jersey side of the river from sometime earlier in the afternoon shown on, I think Fox, that show the Trade Center area including the side of Tower 7 you do not see here, and man, if was all messed up. The HBO documentary on 9/11 home videos of the event shows workers coming from near WTC 7 saying that building was about to go, because they saw it, heard it creaking, and it was on fire. Ummmm...the NYFD predicted the possibility of collapse. So they made the decision to pull their men out. From that point on, it was a "let-it-burn" situation. WTC7 was the CIA nerve center in NY funny that it should go down the same day as the buildings, which they told their employees (who were all evacuated resulting in no injuries, thank goodness) would be destroyed for "safety" reasons, the charges were already set.. conveniently.

In terms of steel beams and fire - We had a fire at a strip mall not far from where I live and the steel beams were warped to the point that it was obvious that they were severely weakened.
