Many people who go into that profession are returning veterans from the military who find it hard to get other jobs. The protest was specifically aimed at the the issue of the BART police being able to carry guns, and the shooting death of someone by a BART officer. She just happens to yell that he was homeless and that he was mentally ill, but she is addressing a single and specific shooting incident. The protesters go on to chant, "How do you spell murder? SDPD." This entire protest was aimed at BART police and their guns.

It's clear that this woman has no idea what being an officer and being put in that type of situation is like. Clearly the officer instructed him to put the weapon down, and when instruction wasn't followed other measures had to be taken. I am truely thankful that the officer was able to go home safely to his family.. I would stand by his side any day!

The protest was specifically aimed at the the issue of the BART police being able to carry guns, and the shooting death of someone by a BART officer. It's clear that this woman has no idea what being an officer and being put in that type of situation is like.
