  • killin that jump rope game! how tall and how much do weigh?

  • @fordvic - Around 5'8"... Weight varies depending on the lifting I'm doing. I usually hover in the 180's.

  • your very good on the rope for a guy your size, footwork is beastly..

  • Quick question: If you had weighted handles instead of around the wrists tho, wouldn't you also be improving grip strength? instead of just shoulder strength...

  • @sergioRbenitez - Grip strength benefits would be minimal at best. If one is looking to increase grip/hand strength, the jump rope isn't the place to look.

  • Just subscribed to your videos, Ross. Quick question though: how many days a week do you jump rope?

    ross, look at this !

  • where can i get those wrist weights? Thanks

  • I just want to thank you for the motivational boost I desperately needed. After injuring my right foot, I got tremendously lazy and could not work out at all (have been doing a lot of pull-ups though). Been watching all your inspirational posts on your site for the past week, but the ones that really get me pumping are your instructional workout videos.

Once again Ross, thank you so much for all the work you've done.

  • Parabéns! Sempre postando vídeos muito interessantes e criativos. Abraço!

  • bump!

  • Nice rope skills! Since when have you started training?

  • @1egenDarySonic - Thank you. I've been training for over 25 years now. I guess I just aged myself.

  • You havent convinced me ur human. from all the videos ive seen of you You Must Have Saiyan Blood o.O

  • WOW!!!

  • One question, how do you skip so fast like that!? Non stop!? Lol

  • As always, great information and great execution.

Could you, or anyone on the channel, explain what makes a rope a speed rope? Is it defined by the handle, the rope, or other? And maybe list a few speed ropes? Maybe one amazing one, then one cheap one?

    Thanks

  • @coolsr11 - It is somewhat of a generic distinction as opposed to a precise definition. Typically speaking though, the faster ropes are made from light weight materials such as plastic. As for brands, some of the best speed ropes are actually the cheapest. The rope that I demo in this video was approximately $6.

  • @rossenamait Could you share the brand you have?

  • @coolsr11 - I don't even know the brand name. It was just a cheap rope that I bought at a local sporting good. I don't have the receipt and the original handles were removed.

  • Amazing. You make those double-unders look so effortless.

  • @cajieb - Thank you for the kind words, but basic turning styles such as double unders are not nearly as difficult as they appear initially. With a month or two of dedicated practice, many will be surprised at how quickly they can master the basics.

  • cool vid, thanks for the up

  • thx
