  • Wow, I love this, it sounds like The Cave but with that special TDCC touch on the guitar and drum parts.

  • Two Door covering Mumford?! This is the best thing! Proud to be from NI cause of this band, among many others :)

  • Looking at the ratio of likes to dislikes, I'd say the majority of people think it's a pretty damn good cover. Which it is.

  • @7thWombat amen to that lol its a very good cover they both are good at singing this song but i think mumford and sons have just that uniqueness when singing this song but i love TDCC cover of it aswell

  • You have to remember, an artist never goes into a cover thinking they're going to sound just like an artist or sound better than them. They go in as fans of that artists' music. They do it for the love of music. I thought this cover sounded very cool and I liked it just as I like the original.

  • dunno if any of you are actually familiar with the concept of the live lounge judging by these comments... they're not necessarily trying to better the original, just cover it in their own unique style, which they have done. so stop being so narrow minded and pessimistic!

  • hipster.

  • @AngelTheTigress 's are cool.

  • @sweetmeex3 I'd like to hope so :D

  • How anyone can cover a mumford song is beyond me. They are never going to sound better than the original mumford so why try? This has butchered it by the way.

  • To all you basters i love two door cinema club, and i reckon its a fab cover in my OPINION.

  • Well done! You just ruined a great song!

  • @VoiiDGFX He hasn't ruined it? it's a great cover.

  • @ShaunaSheeran Its okay but I prefer the Original Cover :)

  • stfu.

  • Killed it.

  • like this version a lot!

A bit heavier than mumford and sons, and i think that this song is actually ment to be played like mumford and sons does. Good cover, but I would like to hear an acoustic version of this :)

    ps: i liked :)

  • time, didn't I, my dear?' Yes, Taio. Yes, you did.

  • have been great to see them get creative with this song - they are the only people I wouldn't have been annoyed by, had they tried to adapt this into their own version. Now, on the other hand, did you know Taio Cruz (of ALL people) remade Little Lion Man? I'd bet my life he doesn't have any idea whatsoever who Mumford and Sons are. And here's the best part - he replaced the word 'fucked' with the word 'messed'. Yeah, that's right. If anything, THAT'S the sacrilege! 'I really messed it up this

  • @geminii187 What do you know? A whole frigging lot, that's how much. I would have enjoyed that immensely! Yes, I agree, some people (or a lot of people) would consider it sacrilege (nice to finally know how to spell that word - why didn't I use Spell Check??? *facepalm*), but hey, you don't like it, don't waste your VALUABLE TIME talking about it, am I right? Not that we don't want your honest opinions - but we don't. If anything, THEY'RE the ones talking out of their asses. Anyway, it would

  • It's a great cover but the song needs the heart that marcus puts into it. It just feels like there is nothing behind your voice. Other than that great job

  • Love the original vibe they put on this

  • he looked like brendon urie from the thumbnail haha

  • Ok. think the whole point of a cover is to put your style. But I think this is the same as mumford, just not as good.

  • Anyone who thinks this kid can sing this better than Mumford is deaf! Not a patch!

  • I'm going to get so much hate, but I prefer this to Mumford & Sons. I think the best thing Marcus Mumford has ever done is proposing to Carey Mulligan. I'm not a huge Mumford & Sons fan.

  • Makes me proud to be ginger.

  • yesss omg i've been waiting for this to come along

  • I like this version better, It's softer.

  • AMAZING!!!

ORIGINAL IS BETTER IN MY OPINION THOUGH :)

  • I love this cover soooo much!!!

  • dude his voice sounds like hermit the fucking frog

  • @fredsfresh you mean kermit..

  • @esp1916 AHAHAHAHAHA.

  • Anyone else think they had a new facebook/skype message at 2:09? :L

  • The original is definitely better but seriously, stop comparing! It's not like Two Door Cinema Club is trying to top Mumford and Sons! LOL xD

  • OMG It's like peanut butter and chocolate!!! Two favorites coming together! Now we just need some graham cracker Foster the People drums... <3

  • TDCC's version is really quite more rock oriented. i like it.

Mumford and Sons has that bluegrassy, folk feel.

    this is pretty refreshing

  • AAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAA, WHY DID NO ONE SHOW ME THIS BEFORE, I LOVE TDCC and MUMFORD AND SONS!

  • on some parts he sorta sounds like kermit the frog.....

  • @smmrmz38 I was just thinking that :L glad it's not just me...

  • @smmrmz38 OMG your right :o

  • why do people argue over which version is objectively better? It's obviously subjective to personal opinion

  • this is horrible

  • @odagled4 rude -.-

  • @odagled4 Haha.Shut up.

  • So good, two door cinema club are actually amazing, but NOTHING can beat the original!

  • It's the beautiful Mumford song that is The Cave, with a little Two Door twist of Sam's lead guitar...

  • Yes it is better

  • Plus the others have to much guitar

  • Love it love two door cinema xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • this is a really cool cover, its not often people make a song their own

  • Its good but no better than the original...

  • the awkward moment when they sound better than Mumford and Sons on this song, lol

  • @86Broham no.

  • @86Broham the awkward moment when nobody agrees with you!

It is very good, but its no where near the quality of mumford and sons version!

  • he looks like will from the inbetweeners

  • haha this is so two door cinema club! love it.

  • ah yes, now i can die in peace.

  • I thought that was Ed in the thumbnail

  • @uncontrollablyme You shall not refer to 'Ed Sheeran' merely as 'Ed'. It is not acceptable.

  • @meddeyc I usually addressed him as mr or sir, who dares to call him ed!!!!!!!! >:-(

  • not too shabby...

  • Quality.

  • Omg! This is great, even without a banjo!!!!!!! My life is complete now.

  • Wow, I clicked this thinking I never heard this song before... then I instantly recognize it. :D Maybe cuz I go to an artsy school with lots of hipsters and they play this during the fiveminuteslefttogettoclass music. LOL

  • Great song covered by an amazing band. Cant get much better than this! The perfect band to cover Mumford & Sons.

  • British people amuse me they have nice voice, well most of them

  • <3

  • How does this even have dislikes?

  • Pretty cool cover! I love their sound ..... So many people have been doing covers of this song, and I'm really picky about which ones I actually like. But I'm a fan of this one. I like it when the drums come in and then the guitar picks up with a riff. It's really cool!

  • Me likey.

  • This is perfection.

  • and the angel said to mary, you will give birth to four men, and you will call them two door cinema club, and they will be our saviors

  • This is interesting but, I prefer Mumford and Sons' version. I just don't think Alex's voice carries the song the way Marcus' does. I do like Two Door Cinema Club and I kind of like them putting their spin on it. But, the original is what does it for me. Just being honest.

  • @geminii187 Excellent point. This version just isn't powerful enough. It's their style (and I DO love their style), but it just doesn't work. It's too soft.

  • @HomegirlMontoyaDPS Thank you. Yeah, exactly. I think I would've liked to see them play with the arrangements more and I know that's sacrilege to do to such a great song but, it would've been nice to see them put their mark on it more. If the vocal couldn't be as strong, at least they'd have that. But, then again maybe I'm just talking out of my ass. Hahahaa. What do I know?

  • 1:01, Ermmm, doesn't that sound like Foals...?

  • @Shawnium101 Haha great shout!

  • @Shawnium101 no.... its a high riff, they didn't invent them....

  • @wemann123 Hey hey hey! :D I didn't even say they invented them. Only said it sounds like something Foals played...So you can keep your little 'no' back. Kay thanks bye (:

  • @Shawnium101 all good, just thought you were being the usual foals frother haha :)

  • @Zewuot it's not a matter of who's better, there different, both unique in their own way! :)

  • @Zewuot No. they're both equally wonderful.

  • i'm not a huge fan of mumford and sons but i love this song and two door cinema club so this cover is like the answer to my prayers

  • Hahaha, at 2:10 I thought I was receiving an update and ended up going throgh all the programs I had open. XD

  • why do they always make me wanna shake my butt. . .& im a guy

  • I don't like it

  • Is this alex singing? he sounds so different!

  • This is so awesome. Two VERY talented bands singing a very amazing song. Mumford & Sons should meet Two Door Cinema Club and go out drinking. That would make for one hell of a story.

"So Marcus and Alex saw the policeman coming, and hauled Kevin and Ted off the floor and Sam started running. . ."

  • How is it that your video ( ahem...picture ) comes up on EVERY page in the search , and mine comes up like 30 pages in?

Whats a guy gotta do to get some views around here?

    Great sound BTW....

  • better than the original. ;)

my alliegance is to twodoor not mumford

  • Ahh Two Door Cinema has a way of making me dance, no matter what they are singing :D!

  • why have i only just heard this?! jizzlings.

  • two of my favorite bands ever <3 seriously, this is amazing. Hipster paradise! and please lets not start a stupid "what is a hipster and what do they listen to" debate, and just enjoy this utter amazingness :)

  • I think this is great and Alex's voice sounds really nice!

  • They're Northern Irish so it's a bit softer than a lot of accents further south imo.

  • 1 of my favorite bands singing 1 of my favorite songs.. Gotta love it!

  • Hey guys! If anyone has a spare few minutes this could interest you.

Basically I've recently set up this channel that I will update continuously with new up and coming music artists. The idea is that if the channel gets big enough that it will just be something you subscribe to, that will give you recommendations for music of all genres .It would be great if you guys could have a look on my channel and give these new artists a look.

Please 'Vote Up' this comment if you like the idea.

    Cheers

  • Oh I see what you're saying, sorry! I'm Irish and I don't think either of them sound Irish :) lol

  • How can people actually like this? I'm a huge fan of two door, but this is a lousy cover of an amazing song. The singing isn't well done and the instrumentals aren't nearly as rich.

  • Love this

  • @suburbanweekend Mumford & Sons aren't Irish so that comment doesn't make sense.

  • @avettgal08 .... so they sound less irish than non-irish people. the comment is saying they do not sound irish.

  • @avettgal08 ...swing, and a miss.

  • Comment removed

  • can't wait for their next album

  • And on the 8th Day God created Mumford and Sons and Two Door Cinema Club, and He saw that it was good.

  • @Saralisa10 haha agreed!

  • @Saralisa10

And on the 9th day he created justin bieber. He realised he was no good.

  • What I love about this is how much they make it theirs instead of just playing through the Mumford and Sons original (which is by the way amazing anyway). This is brilliant!

  • better than the original

  • i want to download this to my ipod!

    but how?:(

  • @cookiemonsterganster download dvd free videosoft where you can turn youtube videos into mp3 and there you go! I use it all the time for these songs

  • @cookiemonsterganster flvto . com

  • @bethwr1 thank you:)

  • One of my favorite bands covering one of my favorite songs. Perfect.

  • At times he sounds like kermit the frog its awesome

  • @soldiermtnpictures just needs a little american accent and it would be prefect haha

  • Wow, I can't believe I'm thinking this, but I may like this better than the original (and I am a total Mumfan). But this is isn't just a cover, its like sonic-hybridization.

  • God, that guy looks like Ben Goldwasser.

  • Haven't listened to the original. Haven't listened to anything else by these guys. But this is beautiful.

  • Una de mis bandas favoritas haciendo cover de otra de mis bandas favoritas ♥ WOOOOW

  • I love Mumford & Sons, and this cover is great. c:

  • I love how they added their own personal flavor to this song!

  • @pricelessangie @macunfraidh marcus mumford is from london and that's where he got his accent from as well

  • thumbs up if you think two door cinema club and mumford and sons should do a duet

  • :0 fav song by M&S and omy gosh I love TDCC :D This is awesome. <3 <3 <3

  • This is what a cover should be - a tribute to the original which makes someone think about the song in a new way.

  • better than the real version haha

  • @MrFrosssssty ..r u kidding manh! that is so not true ,the original is the best

  • @dessyfreesty they are obth FRIEKIN AWESOME haha we will settle with that !! ;D

  • not as good as the original, but in fact this is the first mumford and sons cove which i didn´t click away

  • 38 deaf people have viewed this video

  • Two Door Cinema Club + Mumford & Sons = MUSIC ORGASMSSSSS

  • Love Two Door Cinema Club- Love Mumford and Sons. Great cover :-D

  • Mumford and sons are so fame that they get coverd. :D

  • @AdecentLife well done

  • MHM,.

  • Two Door Cinema Club makes me happy

  • I'm in love. :)

  • it's funnny how they are actually irish and they sound less irish then Mumford and Sons.

  • @suburbanweekend mumford's english..

  • @Greengulchleaves You really didn't understand his comment did you?

  • @WizzyBangz lol I did, I was just being a smart ass. haha my b

  • @Greengulchleaves He was saying how it is funny, that Two Door Cinema Club sounds more english than Mumford and Sons even though they are irish.

  • @ILoveCats560 i said i was just being a smart ass lol. i got it

  • @ILoveCats560 Well that's because a banjo isn't exactly English.

  • @SKIsnake22 I was just explaining, I wasn't agreeing.

  • @suburbanweekend yeah but were awesome so jawwb :)

  • @suburbanweekend Mumford and Sons are scottish!

  • @Emilyjaneosully

no way Mumford & Sons are from London. Yesterday I had a presentation about them so...

  • @Emilyjaneosully They're English...

  • @suburbanweekend they're from northern ireland actually, different accent you see :)

  • EAR JIZZ

  • It's a good cover but Marcus Mumford voice is what makes M&S so unique. Yet, musically I think 2DCC did an amazing job.

  • oh dear

  • I got to this video from mumphord and sons doing a cover of vampire weekend...

  • I thought alot of people who like Mumford would like 2DCC and it seems that the two do go very comfortably together... <3

  • Hang on a second guys whats gonna haooen when everyone becomes un-mainstream i cant go back to being mainstream
