The housing industry could have been regulated to prevent those awful loans. So you're totally wrong, a president could have done something about that.

I don't feel bad for those that took the loans, I'm opposed to this because of the long term damage it did to the economy which impacts all of America.

A president has no control over the actions of the fed board member. Think how much it takes to get any regulation passed in congress.

Then the banks had SIG that were using race to get banks to make some of those loans.
