Awesome version, even without the B3 organ. Scofield seems just at ease playing with or without a pick these days. If you like this piece but haven't heard the album A Go Go which features it, get it now!!!!
@aledobretociastko He's my favorite active guitarist in all genres today. I met him back in 2004 at a guitar camp when I was 14. He played for about 2 hours in front of the entire camp with a trio; unfortunately, the other two guys weren't Steve Swallow and Bill Stewart, but it was incredible nonetheless. After the show, I got his autograph and got to talk to him for a few minutes. Sco is the fuckin' man, and that experience is what got me further hooked into jazz, guitar, etc...
@Illadelphism Wow, sounds really great. I kinda envy you. And yes, he's undoubtedly my fav guitarist in all genres today. I'm also very curious what did he told you back then.
Wow, thanks for these videos in such great quality! By the way, Wilde's novel was titled "Dorian Gray" (not Grey).... sorry, don't mean to be a party pooper... but yes I'm wiggling my butt (chair dancing) to this! Thanks again!
who knew William Macy could play the drums like that? haha
