This song reminds me of the album 'Hex', by Bark Psychosis. Another not widely known band, and 'Hex' is a real masterpiece! Maybe you should check it out. It actually reminds me of a lot of music, to an extent where I feel I already hear it before... I have a feeling of "deja vu". But I often listen to music which implies quite similar emotions. Yet I think "The God Machine" are technically excellent, and artistically genuine. And I just discovered this band!
amazing song. here is the lyrics: She said it's cold out here Won't you let me in We've been in this rain for hours You haven't said a thing And she said why do all the things Have to change just when they mean the most Why do all the things Have to change just when they mean the most It always happen that way It always happens that way
The God Machine were one of the best bands of the 90's, but not widely known; it's great that the bands' Youtube videos have given fans of another generation a chance to hear them. Thanks to all who upload.
God Machine was a band before its time and mis-understood. Glad they had success overseas. I picked up Scenes from the Second Story by chance in a record store 8 years ago and have been a fan since then. Everyone i ever ask here in the USA have never heard of them, their loss. So now i let them rip copies of my two cd's or point them to youtube.
man i havent heard this tune for so many years... i had a bunch of these guys stuff on a banged up old cassette that was given to me back in the dark ages but it was unmarked so i had no song info... all i knew was the name of the band but i recognised this immediately... thanks so much for posting, i never thought i'd hear this stuff again.... nice 1! ;)
This music is so intense, it hits me hard in the gut every time. From a long distant pass, melancholy grabs me by the balls and wont let go again, downright scary
A friend sent this link to me on hearing that my wife and companion of 18 years had died. Damn what a fucking perfectly beautiful song.I know she would have loved it.

Wow! Idid not expect to get to know a band by accident, which really fascinates me.
It's a pity that they aren't active in my time.

Saw these guys at Roskilde festival in the mid 9'ties - intense and very memorable in spite of equally excessive use of.... Yeah all kinds
