  • omg!!!! cool !!!!!!

  • Disco version of Moonraker is one of the best disco song, so melodic, so soft, so gently...so clever too!!!!!And also Sjirley's voice make me so relaxed...what more? The guitar responses are so "galactical";-)

  • Its the end titles this aint it?

  • @MovieMad007 Yes, but it's not quite the full version. You see the space shuttle skirting the globe to this - fantastic!

  • ,,, THE DEEP'S SONG FILM ,,,IS FANTASTIC TOO,,,

  • This is how you end a Bond film! On a high note with a great remix of your films theme :)

  • I love the opening, how they use Barry's riff from "Flight Into Space." Great great music

  • i love this song, so funky :)

  • sounds like "down deep inside " by donna summer

  • @Lardyarce From the film "The Deep..." also a John Barry soundtrack. He got an Academy nom (along with Summer, the lyricist) for "The Deep."

    R.I.P., John.

  • This is class

  • awesome movie awesome time to be alive Thanks dad for all the good times at the movies

  • it would be fanatastic to have a futeristic james bond series set on earth and other planets.

  • how the hell is bonds head not exploding and what made him decide to wear a tux under his space suit??

  • @bodean137 Heh, fuck logic!

  • They dont make films like this anymore

    we need to fix that

  • In space...no one can hear jaws scream.

  • This is fabulous. Never heard it before! Would love to have it.

  • yea aminmontrose.....lovely starting!

  • Bond must have visited a moon filled with gay aliens in this movie

  • This IS the original version. This is played at the end of the movie for the closing credits.

  • Moonraker was my least favorite of all Bond themes--until I found this. Why didn't they use this version in the opening credits?!?

  • I personally think this soundtrack really captures that late 70's feel that this film really gives off. It's got the synth/pop sounds that Moroder pioneered, along with Seventies sophistication with Shirley Bassey. Fantastic!

  • I love the opening to this song. So cool!

  • This version of the song is fantastic! I actually enjoy Moonraker despite all its warts - I remember when it came out it was a huge movie and despite the boatloads of humour, visually it has actually stood the test of time quite well. Watch this movie along with Superman (another big budget hit at the same time) and you'll understand what I mean. The timing was perfect in the wake of Star Wars - I'm not sure when they could have done this film other than when it was done.

  • whenever i listen to this song i always think that the heavens had given me a raw deal since i was born in '80.

  • The disco version of "Moonraker" had energy and vitality in its theme from 1979. An Energetic 6!!

  • this is actually the end credits song from the film

  • The disco version is better than the original. Best 16 seconds ever!

  • As frustrating as MOONRAKER is, this is still a damn good song. One of their best. Got to hand it to Shirley Bassey and that hauntingly powerful voice of hers.

  • Great theme, probably my favorite Bond after A View To A Kill.

  • Moonraker gets too much hate. Sure it was campy, but that's what made it fun

  • @sheemobile

It also made loads of money in 1979 and was a commercial success. Fact is it wasn't until Goldeneye in 1995 some 16 years later, when a James Bond movie made more money. And that wasn't with inflation and rising ticket prices included.

Roger Moore always said he never took James Bond as a serious or even realistic character the way he was written and thus played him that way. What people forget is that if not for Moore the whole Bond genre might have died out with the 60's.

  • This disco version is very good (:

its better then the normal i reckon

  • Gracias por subir éste tema, saludos...

  • the last of the great bond movies died when they hired Daniel craig to play james bond. now 007 is just another hired gun instead of the suave, sophisticated secret agent we all have come to love.

  • One of my favourite James Bond theme songs and this version is the only reason why I look forward to the end of Moonraker!

  • Wonderfull soundtrack and I also loved this movie, its one of my alltime top Bond movies.

Todays ecation-game like Bond movies suck!

  • Very Lovely for a summer night spending with cocktails on a terrasse...

    thanks fpr Posting

  • Quality script and true quality soundtrack!!!

  • Great Power Version is that available on LP or Cd??

  • Yes.......this is on the original soundtrack........it's the closing theme.

  • It's ok but the main version is much better.

  • Here here!!

  • Those 16 seconds haunt me. I can't explain it. I wish they would go on for another 4 bars. What an EPIC 16 seconds - It's a haunting piece of music on it's own but with the disco beat - Somehow it becomes more menacing and urgent. TICK THIS POST IF IT EFFECT YOU IN THE SAME WAY!!

  • @aminmontrose: yep, same here too! Could be going on for an hour and keep me moving thru my day, without molesting me.

Hey, wait, did I hear somebody saying "cradle of "House" & "DanceFloor"?!? ;-)

"New Wave" never stood a chance against "The Groove".

The Groove only stood in back and waited two decades! :-D

    God blessed 16secs!

  • @aminmontrose

What 16 seconds, the first ones?

  • @Mrster yes

  • @aminmontrose If you want more of those epic 16 seconds. I suggest listening to this song: Moonraker space shuttle ballet.

  • @aminmontrose sweet words man and so true.

  • I completely agree. Just make a loop...

  • @aminmontrose Totally its my favourite part of the tune.

  • @aminmontrose I know what you're saying...there is something haunting about it, yet sexy at the same time. Gotta love the 70s!

  • yes 0:00 - 0:16 Sick tune :)

  • exactly what I thought...

  • lovely bond film, incredibly beautiful!

  • Agreed!!! The same degree of adventure just isn't there anymore

  • Today they cant afford this of Bond Movie any longer the scipt is wonderfull without sick action effects!!

  • IT ALWAYS SEEMS...

    NOUGH SAID...

    FAB?

  • What are you talking about?

  • I;m sorry but... there really was a time when disco ruled the earth. This brought back a lot of memories. Thank you for posting this!

  • Bond was something like a adult carnival...i miss those times!

  • whatever the flaws of Moonraker, you can't argue with the fact that its a hugely entertaining movie

  • THE BEST Bond ever !!!!!

  • Why? you'd need them for planetary exploration, wouldn't you?

  • As a pose to you sucking pretty much all of your life, yes, that's right.

  • Moonraker is a very underrated title song and this disco version is awesome. Shirley is very Melodic in this song and I think it really shows off her talents. LOVED IT!!!

  • @fillmore593 You're right, completely!

  • 0:00 till 0.16 sick sick tune

  • You can listen to the original version from that sick tune at... Search "Moonraker at ISS in Orbiter" on youtube and listen to 1:50 and 3:50.... I think you'll like it.

  • yes it is, because its more believable, I mean, if you imagine a war in space, its going to be like a war on earth. Only the soldiers will be with space suits and lasers, as in the film. I do like star wars, but its a bit far fetched.

  • Moonraker believable? I've seen some funny posts on the internet but thats the best ever!

  • Well, I know what your on about, But they made the best of what they had, I think the thing would've made a good restarant personally.

  • this is pretty damn good i must concur

  • Did you know that this movie was not originally planned by Ian Fleming. I came out as an answer to the space fad after Star Wars

  • Not to sound sarcastic but Fleming didn't plan Moonraker as a movie. He died long before when From Russia With Love came out. It was Albert Broccolli and the other guy who decided to go with the new Sci fi craze. I hope I didn't come off as mean...

  • nope he died before goldfinger rest in piece

  • Sure! To my mind too, the best Bond ever made!

  • yo can you send me this song, i cant find it anywhere

  • it is on the soundtrack, U can find it anywhere. it is the last song. THEY need to expand the soundtrack. LOUSY people.

  • I remember seeing this picture of Roger Moore in the spacesuit as a kid and thinking, wow, how cool! One of my favorite Bond films ever!

  • This disco version fitted nicely at the end of the film, I love Moonraker it's the only Bond film to transport me to a different world, amazing, romantic and top notch!!
