hey i had the same problem all you have to do is push it hard a couple of times till it stops jamming and you should be set. it think what happens is they set it wrng in the maufacturing plant

20 bucks for a Wii Nunchuck, and an equivalent accelerometer is 35 or 40 dollars on Sparkfun. Damn good deal. Wish I would have known this before I bought an accelerometer.
