I was at this gig...(twenty years ago!!?)...I had bought tickets to see Extreme (remember them?) some months before but when The Cross announced a show the same night, there was no competition.
@SigandGibbs legendary singer..like bobo dylan...i dont think so, maybe youre a fan of him, not of queen...did you see their concerts??? nothing like freddie...even when you see a big screen ...and guess what...frddie appears... his must greatest song is ALL RIGHT NOW...but you cant compare with...we are the champions,, for examp`le
@vermilionx I am a much bigger fan of Queen than any other band. But he is one of the most famous singers around. He was one of Freddie's favorites. And no shit the concerts weren't like they were with Freddie, they did it on purpose. How many times did Brian and Roger say they didn't want someone to replace Freddie? That no one could? So they did something entirely different, and it was still amazing.
@SigandGibbs so why they play songs of queen...if you see their concerts...is for QUEEN, songs, fans even brian solos, or roger solos...men i miss mr deacon
you say that of p. rodgers...i a bigger fan of Queen too, but they lost is strength, are older, yes, but why keep making album, theyre rich...like said Mr. Deacon, after freddies die...nothng to do, and i know that P.R. was a favourite singers of freddie but..he not chosing him
I can't believe I'm seeing this footage! I was there, only 16 at the time but was fully aware of what a moment this was. Roger Daltrey appeared as a special guest the night before, then Brian May and Tim Staffel on the final night. Both gigs were advertised exclusively for Queen Fan Club memebers only. Would love to see footage of the version of Led Zeps 'Rock n Roll' that they played that night. Unbelievable footage here, I'm still in disbelief!

wow i never knew they did this...........freddie's body was hardly cold in the ground......music buisness is such a cold place................glas to see they missed him so much
@pfootball43 .....Great idea! I wondered the same thing. How perfect would that be! He's got the voice, as well as the history of playing w/ B & R before they became the phenomenal QUEEN. They could call themselves Almost Queen! Just a thought....
Holy crap this is AMAZING! I think I've heard of this reunion but never actively searched for video of it. Much thanks for this and I really enjoy this song.
that was amazing, i was there and cant believe that its on youtube. was this the same time that brian came out dressed as elvis ? or am i thinking of another gig ? great stuff
because Staffell was never a part of Queen, and chances are he woulndt want to sing Queen songs. Brian and Roger must obviously enjoy working with Paul. Chances are you never heard of this reunion simply because it wasnt a very big deal to the general public.

Who are the other three guys (one to the left on bass, one to the right of Tim S. on guitar, and one on keyboard, up in the left corner)?
It's kind of ridiculous that "Smile" - a three man band - somehow got doubled.
The more the merrier?
(paraphrase: the more, the bigger the laughter?)
Did the band clone its members?
If "YES of course...anything can be done these days; come one mate, it's 2011 AD", then:
how was/is that done?
Something to tell the grandkids about.
I mean my clones.

I think Tim Staffel much better when compared with Paul Rodgers.
