  • I got like 2 Aether's in a row and killed him even easier than this.

  • Black Knight is even easier than that

  • Not hard to beat at all as long as you dont have crappy level ups and teach Ike aether

  • you need a critical hit or Ather to activate in order to win this fight I've play this game quite a few times I have beaten him once and it was only because I kept retrying the level until I won.

  • @Vyse195 I did some math and if Ike doesnt miss and has max speed (dont remember if BK has elixer or not) you can win just off of normal attacks in all 5 turns

  • *Reads Desc*

    Beaten the Burger King?

  • Ike: 3rd Times the Charm >:O

  • that's really the only way to kill the BK in FE9, you pretty much need aether.

which really sucks, because nasir>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ena, and gettking him is all luck=/

  • I love how Ike just calmly steps to the right.

  • wish that happen when i went agenst he got his specal move 3 time in a row lucky i had mist with a phyic staff

  • With me it was the same scenario 4 hit then aether to kill :)

  • I guess black knight was unable to prepare himself cuz Ike were fighting for his friends

  • The Black Knight and Ike r copycats of Hector, dabes character. But they will nvr be as deadly as he was, he was just too destructive when he attacked.

  • @N1ceV1d

You've got to be kidding me, dude...You want destructive attacks? Go look up the Black Knight Exhibition on Youtube.

  • I wish Ike had this costume in SSBB.

  • I had basically pulled off two aethers but what's funny is I beat BK before the guards showed, making all the bonus EXP poured into mist all for nothing...

  • @dandragon01 She's still a mobile healer, unlike Rhys who's basically a glass healer.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Glass healer my ass, with his solid luck and decent defense (by bishop standards), mixed with his enormous magic and res, he can magic tank, plus he can actually defend himself and deal damage. Make him a custom Light tome with 7 power and 2 weight and watch him tear up the battlefield.

  • @GFirenight Then again, in PoR, once Mist becomes proficient enough with swords to use the Sonic Sword and Runeblade, she can absolutely destroy the battlefield and support her teammates using her mobility.

Their stats at 20/20 at simlar, with Rhys winning in MAG and RES, but Mist winning in Speed, Luck and Strength. Mist comes pre-equipped with Miracle and uses a horse upon promotion. Only downside is leveling up her sword stat all the way to B to use the Sonic Sword. Both are solid picks.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 I agree, I recently started using both of them in my playthoughs and they were both really good. I just found myself using Rhys more for attacking whereas Mist took over initial healing duty.

  • @GFirenight The problem is, ultimately, that Canto and the extra movement makes Mist better as a healer than Rhys could ever be. While Rhys can deal damage without relying on rare weapons to do it, he's just not as mobile as Mist. If you want people to tear up the battlefield, you have plenty of options for that. You don't need your healers to do it too, and even if they're strong they still are vulnerable to physical attackers...so you need to get them out of the way. Mist does this best.

  • @TheFruitycow it's called elincia. seriously, the only good healer in FE9, stat-wise, and she has mist's movement.

    she just joins SOOOOOO late=/

  • @FTWorWTF and she can't help against the black knight

  • It's all chance, you either activate aether and beat him, or you don't activate aether and don't beat him, I always go against him with all stats (except magic) capped, and this is still the case, of course, he's laughably easy in Radiant Dawn especially with a hammer

  • everytime i battle the black knight i get 0 aethers and the black knight used luna in 2 turns WTF?

  • i didn't get footage of it but first time though the game i must have rolled a natural 20 for the whole battle or something

Aether... both attacks... three times in a row

    ....poor black knight

  • @darkangelcoty He'd be dead by the 2nd Aether :P Unless you had a massively underleveled or STR-screwed Ike. The second hit alone deals +18 damage compared to the first. Also, you can't double the Black Knight unless you got Adept, which is overkill xD

Still, people always recall how lucky or unlucky they were in this fight.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 i musta been STR screwed then, because i clearly remember 3 doubles

and yes i did double, my luck seems to dictate that Ike have speed worthy of the flash

either that or my memory of it is slightly melded with my similarl extremely lucky fight against Ashnard.. man i thought Ike was the only one who could hurt him

  • @darkangelcoty 3 double aethers? Your Ike was hitting 0 without Aether then? :P

  • @Maxmagnus20019 hell if i know, i never saw a normal attack from ike the whole fight >.>

    luck of the gods, seriously

of course luck is half of what makes me the gamer i am,seriously, taked CoD:MW2 for example

other team got a nuke so i used my care package... and got an emp.. which stopped the nuke with .89 seconds left on the timer

i have the luck of the gods sometimes >.>

  • That easy? Try having Aether on every attack from the start, then it's as easy as it gets.

  • Shame I couldn't just hack off all of the Black Knight's limbs.

  • I remember this battle. It took me a second playthrough to kill that bastard (all of it only for Nasir). Aether saved my life :D

  • @disciple1313x I didnt train Ike enough the first time and got raped lol i was like /just/ over level 15. It took me like two time after that haha

  • In what chapter is he in??

    I can't get through chapter 8:(

  • he is wayyyyyyyyy stronger in radiant dawn, i cant claw him to death with my Laguz D:

  • @BlackShadowClaws You're kidding right? The Black Knight has pretty much the same stats as in this game, whereas Ike is now a 3rd class character and can easily three shot him with a hammer (he can actually 2-shot the Black Knight with the right support).

Heck, in easy mode, you can easily power level Boyd or Haar to beat the Black Knight the first time you see him in Radiant Dawn, using a hammer.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 psh easy 4 u to say >:T my Ike on the game SUCKS!!!!

  • @BlackShadowClaws You got royally screwed then, cauz with the Black Knight's 30 speed, double attacking him is easy pie for Ike. Furthermore, maxing Ike's STR is even easier, as he finishes with 49 on average if there were no stat caps and you didn't use bonus exp.

There's always the hammer if the problem is power. Just stand on the +10 Defense tiles, don't make the first move or else he's standing on one lol.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 NYEEHHH I CANT FIND ANYMORE HAMMERS >A< o well at least i won XD

  • this took awhile to do.

I've had ike with max STR, HP, SPD, SKL, and DEF(through lucky levelups and stat-booster items), and I killed BK in 3 turns(2 aethers in a row)

  • @superanimeniac just like me except it was on the fifth turn

  • It's only a flesh wound!

  • Black Knight is easy. I've done it several ways, my favorite, but relies mostly on real life luck, give Ike the Wrath skill. Have Mist's staff level up to B and give her Recover staff. Keep attacking till Ike's Hp is at 3, then heal. If needed you may need to attack even on 3 and risk dying. It's still kinda challenging, which is probably why i like it.

  • it down luck if you beat him or not I've payed this game about 5 or 6 times i and beaten him once

    *SPOILER*

It was great using him in Radiant Dawn though

  • Try having two aethers in a row and not getting touched between them. XD

I did that on my first run through with a level 17 Lord Ike. It was awesome! Too bad I didn't have a camera back then. I have tried the same stunt again multiple times, but I've never succeeded at it again.

  • when i did the fight in RD i was with a friend and he was doing the fight like everybody should (ragnell vs alondite) but i got bored, took the control and yell HAMMER TIME!!!!

but he wanted to make the battle epic so he got mad took the control yelled HAMMER TIME!!!! and started hitting me =*(

  • some how i had lvl 20 ike and when i killed him ike had 3 hp left 2 turns into it

  • Acctually you can bring down the BK with one or two turns, Aether-> miss the BK attack than another aether: Sayonara BK >.>

  • Is it wrong that this happened to me in Radiant Dawn? (Replace Aether with a Critical, though.) No supports were used, by the way.

  • @DawnOfStefan You mean you DIDN'T use the Hammer? D= HAMMER TIME!

Also, nah, ends the duel in an epic fashion, with exact HP damage!

  • its imposible to do aether from range right??

  • @remixex369 Indeed, on the other hand, the Black Knight can't use Luna from range either.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Aether can be used as range attack, but only to units that start with range capabilities (archers and mages) and doors, believe it or not....

  • @lamebrain2468 Nope, Aether cannot be used from range. However, Ike CAN do a critical hit as a ranged attack, which leads to a very weird animation where he does an epic backflip from a distance, causing massive damage. Or a frontflip if the attack isn't fatal. Just like the Black Knight can't Luna you from a distance.

  • i've played the game a million times and for the first time killed him... i just had ike attack, then mist use a mend and get out of the range. ike aethered, but the black knight used luna twice! luckily mist is a beast and i still won...

but i had never used mist before or after this battle. i used bonus exp on ch 25, 26, 27 and a master seal to get her really strong and used her once. XD

  • *sigh* y couldn't they just use Ike's Lord class in brawl....the ranger class looks gay....n I'm an Ike fan smh

  • the first time I did this....well, it was a massacre >.< I hadn't used Mist at all, nor did I have Ike's ulitmate skill, so...yeah-SECOND time, I wiped the floor with his bitch-ass! Had the skill, plus knew what I was doing alot more so Ike was just plain better, and I'd been power leveling Mist as much as I could, so she could be helpful (with the sword she had, by the time I got to the end, you couldn't hope to kill her-not bad for a heal type, eh? :D )

  • when i fought him it was even easier than that o:

    double aether

  • @AbrahamCN True that, but it takes even MORE Luck to DODGE 3 consecutive attacks and finish him off with an Aether that deals exactly 36 damage FTW. Ike knew he'd win, he was just trollin' with him.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 seems so o.o

i just finished the game on Hard and Ike was playing with the black knight till the very end

  • I died in this fight x_X

I never used Mist before, so she was useless!! She didn't even have any items xDD

  • I wish the Black Knight were actually harder for me. Both times I've encountered him, Ike owns him.

The first time, the Black Knight misses the first hit. Ike hits back. Then Ike uses Aether and wastes half his health. Then the Black Knight attacks back and Ike uses Aether again... Black Knight = dead

Second time I fought him, I attacked him from afar to prevent it from happening again. He got close and Ike used Aether. I attacked and Ike used Aether... Black Knight = x.x

  • @BlueFire4101 That is what we call, the luck of the draw. I've had Aether-less fights against the Black Knights, and double Lunas (due to me taking a chance that Ike won't die in 2 consecutive attacks).

It's all luck, unless you bring a lulzy setup, which makes your other characters weaker since they'll be privy from some good skills.

  • i can claim to beating the black knight that badly, actually beating him worse. ike used two consecutive aethers (once on his turn, once on BKs turn), and he missed both times he attacked. mist felt very left out though....she did all that work to become a valkyrie just to sit back and watch ike waste BK

  • i had the luckiest combo ever!!. aether, eclipse, aether 2 turns of extrem luck whoop :D

  • 0:09 way to rub it in black knight! Jeeesus

  • Wait a second....... THE BLACK KNIGHT IS THE BURGER KING!

  • Mine was this easy. TWO WORDS

    MIST VALKYRIE

  • @TheMasterfulHobbs Ike still has to do all the damage, I'd say having Mist a Valkyrie is almost a given, lol. It does help when Mist can heal Ike and deal with the pesky reinforcements though.

What makes this video awesome is how the BK only hits Ike once, and how Aether deals exactly enough damage to finish him off.

  • On my run of Hard Mode, I had kept retrying/using bonus experience/items to get Ike to all maxed stats (excluding Magic). The Black Knight fight was laughably easy for some reason, maybe for the maxed luck, because his hit chance was 60 and Ike's was 100. And this was on hard mode... Makes me think if this isn't too difficult to reenact, especially on Easy Mode, perhaps, if the BK's stats differ between difficulties. I'd assume the hit chance for BK on Easy would be 20-40 with a perfect Ike.

  • @Draycos324 Unless I'm mistaken, the Black Knight has the same stats on all modes, and Ike's stats growths are the same on all modes. The main difference between Hard, Normal and Easy is the EXP gain. In Hard, your EXP and bonus EXP are cut in half, whereas in Easy mode you can abuse the bonus EXP all you want.

Even at max stats, excluding Luck, the Black Knight can still be lost if you get double Luna'd. So in the end, you still need luck on your side. You could say having NON maxed STR = dead

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Yeah, Luna is a pain, I can't argue with that. But I swear the Black Knight had higher stats on Hard Mode... I'll have to look into it later. =/ If the Black Knight has, lets say, a 30% chance of activating Luna, then each attack at around 50 hit percentage would have about an 80% chance... so luck is definitely a key factor, that's undeniable. I did manage to beat the BK like this, but I got an Aether right off the bat, in two runs. Still, I have doubts for some reason...

  • I once beat him in two turns...The second turn, Aether activated twice.

=/ Talk about easy? He`s fricking CAKE. And Mist being on a decent level as a Valkyrie doesn`t hurt.

  • hack

  • @Pro3291

Far from it. You didn`t even watch the video.

  • Ike looks SO much better as a noble than as the fcking Spartan in the wii version lol

  • do u need luck to beat the black knight?

  • @whatbear12 I general do you some luck to beat the Black Knight, because not only does he have his own special skill, Luna, which can take away more then half your health, he also eventually gets reinforcements who try to "help" him, including healing him. So, for most people, it's about hoping you'll get Aether.

Also, in this video, Ike is lucky because he dodges 3 consecutive hits at around 70% chance of hitting each, which is pretty lucky.

  • i was even lucky my first time though i did three criticals in a row... the black knight was hard then ashnard in my opinion... and the black knight only took those three turns for me.... but boths battles were fairly won because they both hit me maybe once and mist was just a waste of space against the Black Knight...

  • i beated him only in two turns

    aether

    aether :)

  • @15migui

    Me, too~.

  • I do wish he was that easy, i beat him but i have a tendency to use the strongest people in this game, so mist wasn't of much help.

  • @arias1695 I usually use Mist myself, though she doesn't have a much MAG, she's much more useful then Rhys, who easely dies and doesn't get to ride a horse.

  • This is absurd- how the heck did the Burger King not get a Luna?! And then miss all but one attack?!

...The first time I played this game, I got Luna'd twice on the first try, then once on the second, but also got a lucky two Aethers... The second playthrough, it took me FIVE TRIES.

    Summary:

    1. ...no, try again later *luna'd twice*

    2. lol you missedrofl olol1!!2 *....thrice*

    3. ...

...Goodbye. *he had 18 HP left, then I got Luna'd*

    4. *never got an Aether*

  • I call BS. No way BK misses that many times, especially in a row.

Either that, or this is the luckiest BK fight ever.

  • I guess Ike's father's arm just wasn't as strong as Ike's. But then, he was married, so his arm muscles didn't get exercised as often as his teenage son with no girlfriend.

I mean, Ike trained harder. Yes. That is what I meant.

  • @Cythrin SPOILERS!!!! His dad, after touching the Medallion by accident, went berserk and killed their mother. After that he slit his wrist's ligaments to never use his stronger arm again. You probably know this but just mentioning it to you in case you didn't know.

  • @Cythrin

Gawain cut his sword hand so he could never wield a blade again thats why he lost to black knight

  • @Cythrin your wrong gawain ikes father is stronger than him with swords but, he went insane one day and killed everybody he saw including his wife he turned sane we=hen he killed her and then he cut his hand to disable his sword arm so he wont hurt anyone with it again

  • @vic7ndify ....you missed the joke, lmao.

  • @vic7ndify actually all of the tendons in his sword arm. AKA he screwed himself over. And this whole medallion situation is why people need to learn ranged weapons

    Possesed Gawain: I WILL KILL U >:]

Ike: Think fast!! *throws throwing knife, knocks away medallion*

    Gawain: where am I?

Where were Ike and Mist during this anyway? Mist at least had to see cuz she ALWAYS had the medallion with her. I say its a plot hole!!

  • @vernalwarrior23 *SPOILERS*

Actually Ike and Mist's mother was the one who had the medallion. Like Mist, she had the innate ability to calm it down with her songs. Greil then touched it, going berserk and killing everyone in his wake. His wife then threw herself on him in order to calm him and the medallion down and succeeded, but died. They later discovered that Mist possesses the same innate ability as her mother, which is why she started wearing the medallion from that point on.

  • @Cythrin Greil was a mercenary, his muscles were always excersised. he slashed the tendons in his sword arm and could not use it.

  • ive done that. :) Peace

  • Assuming one knows how to make Mist a competent fighter, BK is pretty simple. It's just that Nasir interrupting you basically requires an Aether/Adept. You need Ike to kill a priest on one turn in order to guarantee that BK is not healed, otherwise you could JUST BARELY beat him with normal attacks (at least assuming I did my math right last time; it's been a while).

  • i killed the black knight in 2 turns

  • bk: show me your strength...

    Sephiroth: hey thats my line!

  • Wow.

    ...Black Knight sucks. >->

  • The black knight is getting IKED!

  • As long as you activate Aether once, the battle is easy. Ike usually has a 1/4 chance of activating it, so that's not much of a challenge. It just comes down to your luck.

    I think it's also possible with some Wrath/Resolve combo, but I wouldn't try it - it's risky.

  • @AkasunaNoSasoriSama Can't use Resolve vs the Black Knight, since you get the Resolve scroll on the same chapter as the one you fight him, the best you can do is Adept/Wrath, which means wasting your Adept on Ike only to destroy it later when he gets resolve...

Makes the boss fights easier, but I like to have a more balanced crew, despite the relative easyness of the FE: PoR.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Where the HELL do you get Adept, anyway? I've never found it in any of my playthroughs.

  • @AkasunaNoSasoriSama Take from GameFAQS: Chapter 17, Part 4. One of the enemies will drop it.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Oh, shoot. Probably one of the dudes I usually let Tibarn/Janaff kill off because that moat's a pain to cross safely with bow knights on your tail and the long range mage blasting you.

  • He was easier on RD. (One turn equipped Ike w/hammer ftw.)

  • @tikachu9999 Black Knight: Let's settle the score Ike! Draw your blade!

Ike: ...STOP! HAMMER TIME! *brings out Hammer*

Black Knight: Surely you jest! Swords always beat Axes!

Ike: Prepare yourself! You'll get no sympathy from me!

    *KO!*

Ike: I fight for my friends.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 LMAO nice one. XDDD

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Swords > Axes, but Hammers > Knights! Lol Stop hammer time!

  • Lol I remember fighting the BK before I knew what Aether was. I thought it was impossible to beat him. Then Aether came along and so did the epic pwnage, lol.

  • I got 2 Aethers in a row and killed him. I was SO lucky! :)

  • it was more easy for me I killed him on the second turn with 2 aithirs haha ;D

  • my fastest time is....well, he killed the black knight before the guards even arrived

  • i got really lucky

Ike used aether twice instead of regular attacks and the Black Knight went down

  • I recently did this fight in a new playthrough on Advanced and Ike finished the Black Knight by missing with the first hit of Aether and landing on the second.

  • i don't get why ppl always say GET AETHER!. i beat BK in three turns with ike equipped with adept and wrath. aether isn't needed. then after BK. take out adept and give ike resolve and he can kill ashnard easy.

  • @hardytoextreem Because Adept, Wrath and Resolve are great for any characters. Whereas Occult scrolls only benefit Ike, Paladins (more or less) and Generals (Luna). The rest of the occult skills are pretty horrible.

Sure, if you want to win vs the BK and Ashnard easy, you can just put all your skills into Ike, but then the rest of your crew basically has no skills to use.

Wanna really have fun? Take off all of Nasir's skills and give up Wrath, Adept, Resolve and Guard xD

  • lol i beat him in one tur n skill str spd luk def and level maxxed no cheats

  • @rahulksen

lol, troll. It takes atleast 2 turns (Player phase, Enemy Phase), because you can't double Aether the Black Knight on your turn :P

  • @Maxmagnus20019 Actually, I'm pretty sure 1 turn means 2 phases since Seize: 8 turns would mean 8 of those 2 phase sets.

  • @DeadlyDragon129 in case you still haven't found it, aether is the skill that Ike gets from using an Occult. you just have to have an occult and Ike has to have class changed (i think he changes after ch 17 ends). there are 4 occults and most of them are just in chests or received after killing/recruiting an enemy. stefan also gives one for free at a base if you recruit him (he's tricky so check online for details).

  • @yZhivago the aether final smash is epic

  • @LinkStrikesBack i know this is outdated, but the first Fire Emblem in America had Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector as the lords. the game with Roy was japanese only. still, Ike was the best choice.

  • @bnugentkarate This is true. Add in the fact that Roy is actually a pretty horrible Lord, whereas Ike is powerhouse in his own game :P

They've admitted Roy being in Melee was a marketing plot to get people in Japan to buy the new GBA Fire Emblem game with Roy in it. I'm thankful that happened though, it's probably the reason why the next Fire Emblem games were all brought to NA.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 i never finished my rom of the game with Roy, so I don't know how he would turn out. it did pay off to put him in the game though. their profit must have shot up after releasing the other games in a country as large as this one. all they need now is to translate more of the old games and/or put them on Virtual Console. even in japanese, people would probably buy them.

  • Wow, miss miss miss XD

  • Honestly, the easiest way to kill the BK is with Aether.

If only activating it was simple.

If it activates twice in a row, you kill the BK.

Happened once during my play through.

Now THAT is luck right there. Plus if Luna doesn't activate...

  • I have seen Ike survive Luna if he has max health and defense. The real key is to have used Mist so she can use Physic Staff to heal Ike after each turn. But definitely keep Aether no matter what.

  • You can survive Luna, of course. But if you get Luna'd x2, you won't survive if that happens. IIRC, hit + Luna is also enough to kill Ike.

This event can happen if you do something like this

    *Turn begins*

    Mist heals Ike

    Ike attacks, is hit.

    *Enemy Phase*

    BK uses Luna, gg.

Just gotta be careful of Luna!

  • @Maxmagnus20019 well thank god he didnt use epclise that can kill anything

  • @raccoonboy123 eclipse is only in radiant dawn and only available for black knight. in path of radiance he had luna just like all of the other generals. his attacks were just different.

  • @Maxmagnus20019 i play that battle the same way i use arena abuse in the old GBA games. if they might die, they don't attack. if i had to use Mist at the beginning of the turn i would skip Ike's attack. i've had to restart because Nasir shows up early, but I rarely have Ike die. i definitely agree that it's a tricky battle though.

  • @bnugentkarate

Using Mist is cheating- this is a 1 on1 no holds bard- one man wins one man loses

  • @gorginhanson

Do take note that after a few turns, the BK gets reinforcements that attack Mist AND a physic user to heal him, :P

Though yes, the manly way to do it is without Mist's healing. Ike drinking Gatorade turn after turn waiting for Aether, or dodging like in the video above xD

  • @Maxmagnus20019

    The reinforcements won't attack Ike

The guy with physic doesn't always heal him, I think it's just on hard and maybe normal-

Anyways that's not the point- at the VERY least, the Black knight doesn't want any help- he even SAYS it right as soon as those guys show up- so that means that you shouldnt use any either- its just the right way to do it

  • @gorginhanson

True, but it does make it statistically that much harder, unless you just put Adept on Ike and attack from a distance, which is also lame. Though I like the LAZER beam effects caused by their legendary swords xD

  • @Maxmagnus20019

Ya well, I'll admit I've used elixirs- but that damn black knight heals too-

Anyhow, even with a fully maxed Ike- (and yes I've done it- every stat except resistance and magic- they get up to FORTY luck dude its insane)

it's still a statistical gamble- but HEY- no one said this would or especially should be easy

  • @gorginhanson

Yeah, even Maxed, you only do 9 damage per hit, vs his 19 per hit xD

    Atleast Aether exists <_<

  • @gorginhanson that would be nice, but if soldiers and bishops will back up black knight, then ike is at least entitled to one healer. i know black knight tells them to stay out of the fight, but they can still get in the way.

  • @Kixcerd that happened to me too :) it was like

Player turn: Ike hits BK with Aether bk miss

Enemy turn: Bk misses Ike and recieves another Aether. Now THAT is fun :)

  • Well I just managed a solo-Ike playthrough...

    1st turn

Player phase: Ike uses Aether on the Black Knight, the Black Knight misses

Enemy phase: Black Knight misses, Ike uses Aether.

    Combat over.

  • Now THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how it's done xD

  • This battle is highly luck-based, assuming a high-level Ike. If you're using the Aether strategy (which is normal). It becomes a luck-based game where you hope the BK doesn't get Luna and Ike gets Aether. Wrath + Resolve is riskier but more likely to fall in Ike's favor.

  • You obtain the Resolve scroll on the same chapter you fight the Black Knight, so you can't use =/

Statistically, if you leveled Mist enough to kill the enemy reinforcements, you could just put Adept, or Adept + Wrath on Ike and attack from afar, nulling the BKs Luna attack, and enabling you to activate your own skills. Ike, at max STR, if he attacks the BK EVERY TURN for 9 damage, will win unless the BK is healed by the enemy bishop.

Adept or Adept + Wrath just make it easier.

  • how about an aether my phase and an aether his phase

  • Eh I've had a faster battle.

  • at Max SPD, in PoR, you can't double attack the Black Knight without 'Adept', as you gain the skill 'Resolve' in the same chapter as the one you fight the BK on.

Double Aether is however possible before your 2nd move.

    Ike attacks BK (Aether)

    BK counters.

    BK attacks Ike.

    Ike counters (Aether).

That's the best you can do though, and you need a little luck, especially if the BK activates Luna.

  • when I fought the black knight ike got two aethers. That was easy

  • Aether at 1:07 to finish of the black knight is epic

  • I gave Ike aether and equip him with knight ring. I let Ike attacked first, if BK used Luna, Ike could move 1 back and healed by Mist. Next turn BK would attack without Luna, Ike stroke back. Then Ike got close to him and attacked again, hopefully he did a Aether. If Ike didn't, I used the same strategy for the next turn.

  • No biggy. I beat him in two turns using the wrath/resolve combo.

  • Yeah, that does make it easy.

Problem is, Wrath/Resolve is good on ANYBODY, and you only have 1 Resolve to use.

It's arguably much smarter to use Occult on Ike, since he's one of the only characters that actually gets a worthwhile skill for 20 points lol.

Paladins, Knights, Hawks and Assassins (if you stretch it) and Ike are pretty much the only characters that unlock powerful skills using the occult scroll.

If you want to have fun though...

    Nasir + Wrath + Resolve + Adept + Vantage + Guard

  • is it even possible to give nasir theat many skills though?

  • If you take out the skills he comes with, you can, since Dragons have 50 skill capacity xD

If my memory serves me right, those 5 skills cost 10 points each, so he can indeed have all of them.

  • the worst to use it on is flyers... wow i stun them? woot...

  • The point why u cant do this is beacuse you get resolve IN THIS CHAPTER, and u cant put it to Ike in order to beat the Black Knight..

Anyways, you just need or use aethers, or just make the max damage you can (9) and dont let the bishop to heal him, its perfectly possible to kill him withouth Aether....

Other easy way is just 2 aethers and he is dead. Oh and one extra point, its not recommended to attack him in 2 range, since aether cant be done like this, but you avoid his luna skill by this

  • Instead of Resolve/Wrath, you can do Adept/Wrath or Adept/Vantage, and attack him from afar, avoiding his Luna while you double hit him sometimes with Adept =/

  • Yeah, that's what I meant to say. It's been a while since I've played this game, but the point I was making was that you could use some other combo to beat the Black Knight faster. I'm pretty sure it was resolve, but I may be thinking of my FE10 playthrough instead.

  • I cant believe you watched a vid of something you supposedly think is shit ^_^

  • Hi. No you are just watch it if you don't like it.

  • ooooooooooh i see. lol its ok once you get used to it but to each his own.

  • he looks like golbez from ff4

  • How the heck do you get Aether?
