  • Who are the artists she mentions as an influence? 0:36 and 1:11

  • @posztoka Gordon Matta-Clark (photographer) and I think the next one is REVS? It''s a little unclear but sounds like it.

  • 3:10 is too cute

  • No, she said "Indonesian Shadow Puppets", or Wayang.

  • Excuse me but is this what she said at 4:01 "I was really inspired by Indonesian child puppets". Thanks.

  • Impressive young artist!

  • swoon.. i love you

  • Starting ca. 6:17 in, the shadow of the translator for the deaf becomes more prominent in a nice way.

  • @carolynnmi lol I feel bad for that poor sign language translator. Swoon's art is great & she is very intelligent but wowa lol she talks so fast with all these big words,

  • Yes, a number of her prints are in the MoMA collection and have been featured in exhibitions. It was great to have her speak here!

  • Did she tell you that the MOMA just bought 5 of her prints? Oh well they did. HAHAHA LOLOLOLOL!!!!

  • This Is the most interesting form of art that I have come across in my life. Not that I am a critic, but wow! How Amazing! I cannot imagine the ingenuity that it took to make all those intricate cut-outs and then carry them all over the world and then paste them onto walls for others to enjoy, accept and even appreciate. Who can't appreciate a beautiful piece of art work when it is something from the heart. I love it and can't wait for more.

  • "Modern art is a disaster area. Never in the field of human history has so much been used by so many to say so little."

  • It's interesting how she get famous so fast.

  • She worked consistently extremely hard for several years, is hugely talented and took the whole package to several cities around the world. No mean feat, and she pulled off a lot of street work in London alone.

  • she's produced some wonderfully intimate pieces - great community work :) art involvement; cultural integration... good stuff.

  • mmmmm aarrhh its ooookkkkk........

  • Well Present n Spoken.

swoon's work R very little I know about.

    Fabulous.

  • Swoon is by far my favourite Street Artist and artist of today.

  • amazing, inspiring! dont know what the hating on collective or communal means, considering that humans are social beings, mccarthy is dead...

  • Yum !

  • i LOVE swoon's work!

  • Banksy

  • bless you...

  • Quite a great body of work, though some of her ideas I find a bit distasteful. The term "collective" and "community" is always a bad thing. But Swoons art itself is wonderful.

  • We created a video -- Les rêves sur les Murs le Bang Bang -- as a video response to Swoon. We were impressed with her putting art on the walls of destroyed and abandoned buildings because we do that, too, and film it. There is a Western milieu here in terms of art being ephemeral. Often, it can be the artist whose existence is fleeting as well. We are reminded of the cave art on the walls of caves here in France. Representations of the things in dreams that hunt and haunt us.
