J hope this is not stupid, with the acapelas does it make sense to say you can use the same track with a hip hop instrumental and a house track???? using the pitch of course. Is it also worth asking that if the tempo is not locked it makes it easier to mix with the two genres?
There are no hot cues on the 400 unfortunately. This is one of Pioneers big mistakes for the 400 imo. However, the 400 is compatible as a midi controller, so you may be able to set several of the buttons as hot cues through software such as Traktor, or the Pro DJ software offered by Pioneer. Hope this helps.
iTunes has quite a massive collection of singles in pop-genre. Very often those singles also contain accapella-versions of the tracks (check it before you buy it, not all of them do:)
This was a really fantastic tutorial. I need to think about investing in some CDJ's in the future, those hot cues seem so cool to use, especially in acapella situations like this one.
thanx a lot man I apriciate it if u got any recommendations about what brands are better for a Dj u know not very expensive and good sound quality :) thnx again
That takes alot pitch control skills and your ears must be also good to hear the right tempo ...
For those of you who do not have the CDJ 1000's, try it with the in-loop sampler of your mixer, but there you must pre-set the BPM first, and then bring it in by pressing the buttons.
Quite an advanced technique, but if youre good at it you can produce awsome "remixes" of your songs, on the fly.

First; What is acapella?
Second; What are those black spots in the video?
thossii 2 years ago
acapella is the lyrics from a song with no music behind it.

please please a video on passive and active speakers please what's the difference and why which is which and whats best for a Dj
djnineeleven 2 years ago
passive means that the speaker needs an amplifier to work.
active means that an amplifier is built in the speaker.
active is handy when you dont want hassle with alot of speakers ,cables and amp's
BUT active speakers are heavier and normally a lot more expensive
