Afghanistan War Longer than the Vietnam War???

You want to tell that to the families of the people whose names are on the Vietnam War Memorial? The first names are from 1961, if I'm not mistaken. And the last are after 1973.

The war in Afghanistan is longer than the Vietnam War, only if you consider the start of the Vietnam War the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in 1964 - Which is not when it started.

The problem with training and turning the war over to the Afghans is there is not a single Afghan in the country. None of these people consider themselves Afghan, they consider themselves as part of a tribe that has existed for over a thousand years. Afghanistan and Afghans exist only in the minds of the western powers who made them up to fit some lines they drew on a map.
